Books I Want to Read Before the End of the Year

You know what’s hilarious? When I went back and looked at my post on this topic from last year at least half of the books on there I STILL haven’t read yet. AHAHAHAHA. Well, a lot of those I meant to get to this year, and some I did, but let’s just blame this one on 2020 (because I can so why not).

ANYWAY.

Here’s a list of books I’d like to get to before the end of the year. Like last year, I’m sure I won’t get through all of these, but they’re books I want to keep in mind to read soon!

  • A Declaration of the Rights of Magicians by H. G. Parry
  • Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin
  • The Name of All Things by Jenn Lyons
  • The Order of the Pure Moon Reflected in Water by Zen Cho
  • The House in the Cerulean Sea by T. J. Klune
  • A Song of Blood & Stone by L. Penelope
  • Aurora Blazing by Jessie Mihalik
  • The Seventh Perfection by Daniel Polansky
  • The Bone Shard Daughter by Andrea Stewart

Usually December is one of my best reading months of the year, and I also have the last bit of November as extra time. It will be interesting to see how many of these I can get to before the end of the year. πŸ™‚ Do you have any books you want to read before 2020 draws to a close? Leave a note in the comments, I’d love to chat!

I was thinking about writing a post like that too, once I finished my TBR for Sci-fi month without hope to check out all the books I would put in there, but this is just a small detail!
Some of the books you mentioned are on my TBR too. Let’s hope to read them soon!! 🀞

      I wish us both luck!
I think this will be an informal TBR for December as I’m not going to do an actual TBR for the last month of the year, it’s going to be mood reading only haha. πŸ™‚

I hope you manage to read them all!

Hahaha I made a whole post called 5 Books I WILL read in 2020, and I’ve read less than half of one of them, which I ended up hating and DNF’d. There’s a slim chance I might read a couple of the others before years end. Maybe.

I need to do a post like this too😁 I’m hoping December will be the month I get to read some of my purchased books, instead of having to make it all about review books. We shall see. Good luck, Lisa!

I feel like blaming 2020 is totally acceptable at this point (even if it’s not *really* 2020’s fault, but shhh, we’re all willing to just go with it). You DEFINITELY need to read The House in the Cerulean Sea! I’ve been throwing it at everybody lately. xD One of my favorite reads this year!

I really do want to get to The House in the Cerulean Sea–what I’ve read by Klune before I’ve loved and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things so I have very high hopes for that book. I’m gonna make it happen!

Let’s just blame 2020 and keep our fingers crossed that 2021 is a million times better. I could do a similar list of all the books I should have read (guilty much? who me?)

I’ve only read two of the books on this list but I LOVED them! Especially House in the Cerulean Sea 😍 I want to read The Bone Shard Daughter as well! I can’t believe it’s already November and honestly… I have soooo many books I’d still like to read before the end of the year πŸ˜… Welp. I hope you manage to make a good dent in your list though!

    • waytoofantasy says:

I’ve heard SOOOO many great things about Cerulean Sea—very much looking forward to that one!
I can’t believe we only have a month and a half left of this year–crazy! I hope we both get to read lots of good books before we finish out the year. πŸ™‚

I’ve done that too, read older posts and found that I still haven’t read the books I’ve mentioned. I blame all the new titles attracting my attention all the time πŸ˜€
Hope you manage to get around to some of the ones on your list. I really like the sound of The House in the Cerulean Sea, and that cover is lovely too.

There are so many books in my TBR pile it’s kind of ridiculous at this point but I want to catch up! But I also want to read new books! It’s tough to balance haha. πŸ™‚
Thanks! I’ve heard amazing things about The House in the Cerulean Sea so I think it’s going to be a great read. πŸ™‚

I’m going to try to read all the books I set for monthly TBRs and then didn’t end up reading. It’s closing in on 10 books, so it’ll probably be unrealistic, but I’m going to give it my best shot!
