The Sunday Post #59

thesundaypost

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. I mostly use it to catch everyone up on real-life shenanigans, latest book hauls, and how things have been going in general.

Random News And Goings-On

Well this weekend I’m supposed to be doing nothing but reading but I wound up doing a zoom hangout with some online friends and worked on my new dollhouse kit for a while during that and then….just couldn’t stop and wound up finishing it! LOOK HOW FLINGING FLANGING CUTE THIS IS ADFIDOAJKDFDEO

Ahem. I also wound up going out to a late lunch with my husband to this hole in the wall resturaunt down by his work. The owner was there and he was real chatty and talked us into getting a duck confit he made that was off menu and it was amazing. And we had a baked alaska for desert which I had never had before but was also amazing.

So, suffice to say I didn’t get as much reading time on Saturday BUT I am determined to devote 98% of my Sunday to reading. *crosses fingers* I also want to get back into blog hopping at some point during this week. I miss y’all!

New Book Arrivals at Way Too Fantasy

Physical Books

Quite a few books I’ve had on order have started trickling in!

First up, my Owlcrate pre-order of Mister Impossible by Maggie Stiefvater arrived. So excited for this one! I had to get the Owlcrate because 1) huge fan and 2) want the color to match book 1 which was also an Owlcrate. Next is The Beautiful Ones by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. I got the Goldsboro edition so it’s also signed and has matching sprayed edges. Then my regular box from Goldsboro came in and this month’s book was Sistersong by Lucy Holland–this one looks interesting. Sarah Pinsker’s new book We Are Satellites also came out recently and my pre-order arrived for that. I love everything I’ve read by her so I’m really excited about the new one. And yet another pre-order–Black Water Sister by Zen Cho. Phew! Hopefully I will find the time to read all of these~!

I had also ordered a signed copy of The Russian Cage by Charlaine Harris because why not and I’m a fan of her work. I hadn’t read book two yet (still) so I got that as well. I know that several of you didn’t love these as much as the first book in this series but I still have high hopes that I’ll enjoy them. 🙂

Ebooks

Just two new ebooks this week – Rosaline Palmer Takes the Cake (a contemporary romance) and Crush the King by Jennifer Estep because it was on sale and I have book 1 in my digital tbr.

Audiobooks

Still working my way through my audio queue but getting closer to being able to order some new titles!

That’s the news for this week, see you next time!

Goldsboro is kind of cool although the vast majority of what they have I’m not interested in but I do love their editions especially for their SFF books.
It was a good Saturday for sure, even though I didn’t get much reading done. 🙂
Thanks, I had a ton of fun putting it together–my third kit is on its way. 🙂
