Self-Imposed Reading Marathon

Well here were are at yet another weekend and I’ve found myself super behind in my ‘obligated’ and ‘assigned’ reading. I somehow have three review books to get through by month’s end and also a couple of books from my TBR I’d like to get through as well. So what am I reading? A webtoon of course.

But my plan this weekend is to get through as much reading as possible as I don’t have many other plans. It’s going to be too hot for the gardening I have to do and since I don’t have a pool to lounge around in I might as well stay inside and catch up on my reading. I finished one book off last night and made some headway on two others. We’ll see how the rest of the weekend goes!

Weekend Reading TBR

So weekend reading is pretty much the same as from the beginning of the week. I’m hoping to get halfway through The Jasmine Throne today and then get a huge start on Gods of Jade and Shadow. I’m making good progress with The Name of All Things although I still anticipate I’ll be reading this one into most of next week.

A couple of other things I started/want to start reading this weekend! Because why not, the more the merrier. 😀 I started reading the webtoon My Dear Cold-Blooded King and wow is it my sort of catnip. I also want to start on Bacchanal as the release date is coming up fast for this one. And a new release that just came out this week–Rosaline Palmer Takes the Cake by Alexis Hall, which I’m really excited for (I know I mostly talk about SFF around here because of course but I’m also a huge romance reader!).

So that’s it for now! Hopefully I can get myself together by next week to start blog hopping again and also start catching up on some reviews, but we’ll see how that all goes. Have a great weekend all and happy reading!

The good thing about The Name of All Things is it moves surprisingly quick once you get into it! I also am struggling to keep on top of my ARCs, I haven’t touched the 900 pager that came out this week because..I didn’t wanna lol. But I will read it soon!

It really does, I’m going right through it.
Yeah, I don’t have many ARCs at all it’s just….I don’t feel like reading books for review. Once I get through these I don’t think I’m going to do any review requests or ARCs for a while. (I say that and yet…)
      Good luck with you ARCs!

I keep telling myself I want to read more backlist (and I really do) but ARCs allow me to keep up with current releases in a way I couldn’t if I was buying them all. Ah well, such a hard life we live, right?

I try to read a mix of both new releases and back list. Totally get the ARCs being helpful! Luckily right now I’m pretty good with being able to keep up with purchases, but I recognize I’m privliged in that regard.

Hope you enjoy all your reads this week. I’m also slowly but surely catching up with blogging, got a few reviews to write and of course lots of reading to try and fit in. But then, good problems to have!
