The Sunday Post #60

thesundaypost

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. I mostly use it to catch everyone up on real-life shenanigans, latest book hauls, and how things have been going in general.

Random News And Goings-On

I’m still getting my groove back. Still no luck with writing reviews but I should probably get on that because I’m terribly behind. Luckily this is a long weekend so my goal is to start getting back on track and do some blog hopping and such. I also have a lot of books to finish reading! I did read a lot this past week but more on that tomorrow.

Yesterday I took a small road trip with my cousin up to PA where she had to renew the lot lease on her campground spot for her trailer. It’s in this tiny town and people kept saying ‘yuins’ to us. ‘Yuins up here for the weekend?’ Anyway it was nice to hang out because we hadn’t gotten together in forever. On the way back we stopped and did some shopping therapy and I bought a bunch of new dresses. Some of them even have pockets! πŸ˜€

New Book Arrivals at Way Too Fantasy

Physical Books

Only two new physical books this week (I say only like that’s a bad thing lol). The first is my Goldsboro Fellowship book of the month, Threadneedle by Cari Thomas. This one looks quite up my alley. And just look at those sprayed edges! The second book is my Owlcrate shipment, The Ones We’re Meant to Find by Joan He. This one has lovely illustrations on the end pages.

Ebooks

A few new ebooks this week, a couple of which I’ve already read through! Playing the Palace by Paul Rudnick–this book was so hilarious! I loved the humor and the romance was cute. Ribbing and Runes by Nancy Warren–book 13 of The Vampire Knitting Club. I continue to love that series! The Hands of the Emperor by Victoria Goddard–I’ve heard this gives you the same emotions as The Goblin Emperor so I can’t wait to try it. And finally Make a Scene by Mimi Grace which is a romance featuring one of my favorite tropes–fake dating. πŸ™‚

Audiobooks

Still no new audiobooks! At least I’m behaving with this medium haha.

That’s the news for this week, see you next time!
