This Week in Reading: A Couple of More Books Out of the TBR

Well, I finished up three books this week, all of the SFF books, two print and one audio. The good news is that one of them was from my monthly TBR and therefore also a bingo read so I can check off those boxes. The bad news is I’m unlikely to finish reading any more books off my monthly TBR for the rest of the month as I feel like I’m in full on mood reading mode now. Whoops! Well, maybe I’ll get in the mood for one of them but that’s unlikely. *shrug*

So, what am I reading this week, then? Well, I’m trying to concentrate on going through what I have already in my TBR and pulling from there so let’s see…at least I have A LOT to choose from lol.

First up, in audio I’m going to check out Borne by Jeff VanderMeer. This will be my first VanderMeer but I’m looking forward to checking it out. Also it’s only 12 hours which works out well since I have a much shorter commute time now. (I see myself reading a lot less audio in the future unless I start listening at home more while doing chores.)

In print I’m going to be checking out Wintersong by S. Jae Jones. I don’t know much about this one except I picked it up during a sale and it looked like something that would float my boat. It’s described as ‘dark, romantic, and unforgettable’ so I’m on board. πŸ™‚

Depending on how things go with the print book I may get more reading in, we’ll see. I do have off for Thanksgiving so may be able to squeeze in some extra reading time. What are you reading this week? Leave a note in the comments, I’d love to chat!

I really loved Borne and I hope you do too! It’s very weird but it’s a touching read! πŸ˜€
I’m reading Unconquerable Sun by Kate Elliott, I’m enjoying it but I don’t know if I will finish it before the end of the month because I don’t have a lot of free time… πŸ˜₯ I also need to finish my re-read of In Order to Live, a memoir about a girl who fleed North Korea to reach South Korea. I read it a few years ago and I have to a presentation about it in about a week so… I really need to finish it soon lol.

Glad you’re enjoying UnSun! I’m hoping I can get to that one soon but I’m mood reading so we’ll see hahaha. Sounds like you have a lot of reading going on! Good luck!

The moment I had a (blessedly) shorter commute, my audiobook reading plummeted. Driving was one of the few consistent times I had to listen to things, so when getting to work took 10 minutes instead of 45, there went my audiobook time! But hey, I’ll take the extra half hour of sleep.

I will be starting the Bone Shard Daughter on the weekend but right now I am reading Torn by Jennifer L Armentrout πŸ™‚
