Last week I managed to finished three books – an audiobook, a print book, and an omnibus collected manga volume. That’s not bad! But, only the audiobook was on my TBR list. The good news is that the print book was picked for our September HEA book club so I’m ahead of things there, even if I’m behind in everything else.
Back to the drawing board today! While I was out and about enjoying life this weekend, I didn’t get much reading in. I’m hoping to finish up a few things from Summer before diving into my Fall TBR with full force.
I’m also still REALLY behind on reviews and blogging stuff in general. I know it probably doesn’t seem like it because I manage to get some kind of post up daily, but, trust me, I’m behind. (Today’s post is late! Thank goodness it’s a holiday!)
So, my week looks pretty much the same as last week. I didn’t make much progress with print books AT ALL. Except for ones I wasn’t supposed to be reading. Fickle, fickle mood reader!
So, I’ll be finishing up The Girl with No Face by M.H. Boroson. I’m about 10% into this one and enjoying it so far, good to be back in this world. I think this is not published until October, so while I do have some time for this one, I really wanted to get to it because I’ve already had the ARC for a while.
Next up is still Dreams of the Dark Sky by Tina LeCount Myers. I enjoyed the first book, and I’m very much looking forward to the sequel since I thought, in some ways, the first book felt almost like an extended prologue in the overall story–I really think this one is going to be pretty exciting.
In audio, still listening to Part-Time Gods by Rachel Aaron. I didn’t get as far into this as I would have liked, work wound up being a bit busy on Friday with phone calls and stuff. I’m about an hour into it and enjoying it. Getting lots of flashback’s to Opal’s childhood which is great. This should be a short listen and then I’ll be diving right into the next.
YAY DARKDAWN. I’m so excited for this final book in The Nevernight Chronicle by Jay Kristoff, especially after the way the previous book ended. I’ll be trying to get to this one as soon as possible, hopefully by Wednesday I’ll be back in this world, one last time.
Those are my reading plans this week. Hopefully I’ll get mildly caught up on reviews and other such things as well and I’ll actually stick to my reading plans! What are you reading this week? Leave a note in the comments, I’d love to chat!
Enjoy your reading!
I’m currently reading The Poppy war and I’m listening to Unearthed, and enjoying both!

Thanks, Evelyn! Can’t wait to see your thoughts on The Poppy War. 🙂
Ahhh, good luck with all of these!! I’m currently reading Tiger Queen by Annie Sullivan😊
Thanks, Kaya! That sounds interesting!
This week’s all about JADE WAR! Might try to squeeze in a novella, we’ll see how much progress I’m making and my mood.
Good luck with your reading, looking forward to your thoughts on it!
Haha – no matter how much we read, or review or blog – we will never catch up. It’s a catch 22 really but it’s not a bad problem to have.
I have so many books this month – I’ve tried to make a mad dash through a couple already which has gone well but the problem is fitting in all the reviews along with other content – it would literally mean posting twice a day which I don’t want to do – I do it occasionally but it’s usually at the end of the month. I think for the majority of this month I’ll have to cry off memes and other things.
Lynn 😀
Yeah, once I get caught up on reviews I’ll have enough to post at least an entire month’s worth. So I may post some on the weekends instead of filling Saturday with tags (it’s really my only non-set day now). Whenever I get caught up anyway lol. It really is a catch 22, always going to be behind on one or the other it seems like!
September is going to be especially crazy–good luck to us both!
I hope Darkdawn is amazing!!! I am going to re-read Nevernight and Godsgrave before I read Darkdawn so it will be a bit, but I am still super excited!
It’s pretty good so far! 🙂
