New Arrivals!

Well, I never really did a book haul post in January other than my Discworld book haul post, so here are some of the books I’ve picked up in the last month and a half. Some of these I’ve already read (and reviewed!) but they’re my latest acquisitions so here they are. šŸ™‚

Ok, so just this one this time around, Crown Of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto. I was really excited when this one showed up unexpectedly in the mail because it’s on my list of anticipated reads. Thanks so much to the folks at Simon Pulse for sending this one my way, looking forward to it!

Physical Books Purchased

I haven’t been buying a ton of physical books — until now! There are just so many coming out this year, plus I had a ton of gift cards so I went on a bit of a pre-order spree. Look at my lovely new babies! I still have a few more coming later this month, so exciting, but also so tough to keep up with everything, haha.

Picked up a lot of these again, stupid sales, I can’t resist! I even have physical copies of some of these but I pick up the ebooks when they’re so cheap because why not? What if I want to read one while I’m out and about. Best to always be prepared, right? O.o

  • This Mortal Coil by Emily Suvada
  • In an Absent Dream by Seanan McGuire
  • White Stag by Kara Barbieri

It’s a shorter one, like a novellette I suppose. It’s about a young woman who has to make a decision about what she wants her future to be like. But it’s the society that’s really fascinating because even though there are definite gender roles they’re reversed a bit here. It’s a fun fantasy romance with interesting thoughts as well. It’s also a prequel to Snowspelled, the first of the Harwood Spellbook series.

Lol have to share with you that I typed “Shin by T. Cook” into Google and the results that popped up were all recipes, lol! Had to add “Goodreads” to it to get the page.

Thanks! Yes, it probably will haha. Asha & The Spirit Bird is a middle grade magical realism novel that takes place in India. The cover also caught my eye with that one and honestly have been meaning to read more middle grade–so many fantasy authors are writing it now days.

The ebook hole is real! I also picked up the whole Revanant trilogy last month. Want to read Polaris Rising, I think I’ll pick that up soon after I’ve dug myself out of the ARC hole I dove headfirst into.
