Hi all! This past week was stressful at times but I made it through and also somehow managed to finish two books. Because my reading is whim-based at the moment, I suddenly got in the mood to read the rest of the Vampire Academy books by Richelle Mead. I left off at book 2 a little less than a year ago and never got around to finishing the series. No time like the present! I read two more (thankfully my library has the ebooks available) but the last two are checked out so I’m on the waitlist–hopefully it will be a short wait. In the meantime it’s back to Cast in Conflict by Michelle Sagara.
I’ve been working on this on and off but what is really holding me back is that I don’t feel like sneak reading physical books at the office during lunch time, it’s much easier to read on my phone. So yesterday I discovered my library ALSO has an ebook of this available so I downloaded that and now I can read it where ever so I should be breezing through it more quickly. It’s great to be back in this world. I love Elantra and all its many, many, MANY characters. Look–when a series runs this long you just pick up a lot of characters along the way. And they sort of become like family and you don’t want to let them go. And so….yeah. I’m hoping we get to spend at least some time with my favorites in this one *cough*Nightshade*cough*. I adore these books.
As for what I’ll be reading next–not really sure! Maybe another Vampire Academy if one is available, if not then I have plenty of books to choose from and three more pre-orders are arriving tomorrow. I’m basically just going where my mood tells me. Happy reading, everyone!
Never heard of this book but for some reason, the series is ringing a distant bell… Sounds really good though and I love long series that have characters that end up feeling like family 🙂 I hope you enjoy the read and have a great week ahead!
It’s a fun series! A lot to commit to at this point so I’m glad I started read them ages ago haha. Thanks, you too!
Same here, never heard of this one before. I’ve only read the first book of Vampire Academy though. I thought it was fun and a great one to pick up for some light reads.
My other two library holds so I hope to finish the series this weekend! I had never realized it was SIX books (for some reason I thought it was only 4 haha)
I enjoyed Vampire Academy – although it seems like a long time since I read them and it would be interesting to see what I make of them now.
Mood reading is definitely a good idea and kind of similar to which I’ve been doing. I just need to catch up with reviews sometime soon.
Lynn 😀
They’re not great books but I have low standards so it all works out haha. I do feel like they improve as they go along though!
Mood reading is all I can do right now. I have tried and I can’t force anything or nothing at all gets read. Good luck with your reviews!
