Well I can’t believe it’s April already! I’m busy right now with working on changing over the r/fantasy bingo challenge to the new card and organizing results and prizes for the 2020 card so I’m not sure how much reading I’ll get done this month but hopefully will have a good amount of time to devote to reading books. As always, we’ll see! Going to keep planning my small TBR’s as one ebook, one physical book, and one audio book–that’s been working out well for me so far.
- The Jasmine Throne by by Tasha Suri. This is an eARC that I have that I am very much looking forward to. I enjoyed Suri’s two previous books and can’t wait to see what this new series is all about.
- Bacchanal by Veronica Henry. This is another ARC that I received as surprise mail. It looks pretty interesting though so I wanted to check it out. Plus, really loving that cover.
- The Age of Witches by Louisa Morgan. I’m also continuing to go through my audio TBR (which, thankfully, is mostly under control). I’ve had this one in there for a while though and I’d like to get to it and this will count for my 2021 bingo card (even though I’m not really trying to do the challenge this year).
Other than these three I’m hoping to get a lot more read but once again I’m trying not to over plan, especially considering how my reading went last month with that three week detour to slumptown. I also do have a few other review books I need to read but I’m trying not to put any pressure on myself with catching up on review requests. I swear once I get through these books for review I’m not taking any requests for at least a month. Maybe two. (I say that now and yet….) For the rest, we’ll see where my mood takes me. What do you think of my TBR? What are you reading for April? Leave a note in the comments, I’d love to chat!
Yessssss I’m so excited to read The Jasmine Throne – I’ve managed to get my hands on an eARC, so I’ll be reading this in May for Wyrd And Wonder. Can’t wait!
I’m super psyched for this one, really enjoyed her other series. May we both love it!
The Jasmine Throne and The Age of Witches both look really good! I’ve not heard of the other one so ill have to look it up! Happy reading!
So far I’ve read one other of Louisa Morgan’s witch books and enjoyed it, I’ve heard this one’s even better so I have high hopes! And I’m really excited about The Jasmine Throne–had fun with Suri’s other series. Thanks!
The Age of Witches is my favorite of Morgan’s books, enjoy!
I remember you said that! I’m looking forward to it. 🙂
I started reading “The Jasmine Throne,” and it’s both different and similar to Tasha Suri’s the “Books of Ambha” duology! You’re going to love it!
I still need to read “The Age of Witches”!
Oh that’s good to know, now I’m even more excited. 🙂
I’m enjoying her witch books–this will be my second and I’ve heard great things.
I hope you have a great reading month! I cannot wait for the Jasmine Throne!

Thanks, Evelyn! I’m excited for it too. 😀
I’m with you about requesting less. I am better than I used to be, quite a bit more careful, but then some months, a totally readable list just goes crazy because of life having other ideas!
Let’s make secret plans instead, just whisper them to ourselves, maybe our brains will be confused and not try to bring in the wrecking ball.
Lynn 😀
Secret plans sounds like a great idea. That’s also why my TBR is only three books now because that’s totally doable and I don’t put much pressure on myself that way.
The Age of Witches has such a pretty cover! I hope you enjoy all of these💜
Yeah, I really love the cover for that one too! Thanks, Kaya!
I’m curious about Bacchanal and will look out for your thoughts on Age of the Witch.
I have high hopes for the witch book–I liked her previous one. I think Bacchanal has a lot of potential so we’ll see how that one goes! Hopefully they’re both fantastic. 🙂
I also received a surprised copy of Bacchanal and am excited to pick it up! Actually… I think I am going to pick it up tonight. Yes. Happy reading, Lisa!
Looking forward to your thoughts on it then, it looks really interesting!
I don’t have Jasmine Throne on my TBR this month, but I DO have Realm of Ash on there! Really want to finish the duology before starting the new series!
I really enjoyed Realm of Ash–in fact I liked it just a bit better than the first one. Hope you enjoy!
