Well, there were a ton of books I would have liked to get to in 2020 but failed to do so. Some of this is because I was concentrating on back list books more than new releases but also just time and at one point I was in and out of a slump…wow. I’m just full of excuses haha. The truth is, there’s only so much time in the day and no matter how hard we try we’re never going to be able to get to every single book we want to read. But are just a few of the books I missed this year and would like to get to in the near future!

Its impossible to get to everything…I’ve read three of these, but I also read 95 percent new releases so that isn’t too surprising.
It really is impossible. Sometimes it makes me sad I can’t get to all of the books. The other night my husband asked me what superpower I’d like and I said immortality so that I can work on my TBR LOLOLOL. 🙂

Bone Shard and Once and Future Witches are on my list too!
I can’t believe I haven’t read Once and Future Witches especially because I loved Harrow’s other book so much. Hope we’re both able to get to them soon. 🙂
I have to say, reading “books I didn’t get to” lists always make me feel better about my own TBR! Black Sun was great, and I’m hoping to read Hollow Empire in January.
My TBR is so sad. And I keep ordering more books so it’s only getting more sad. Hopefully I can read faster somehow. Or just become immortal. 😉
I know the feeling, I think we’ve all got these types of lists 😀 Anyway, I’ve read three on here, and they were all VERY good – Once and Future Witches, Bone Shard Daughter, and Black Sun – this last one, I highly recommend and think you should definitely prioritize 😀
Definitely going to read Black Sun–I ordered a personalized signed copy from an indy bookstore and I’m still waiting on it to arrive because the shipment had been damaged when arriving back to the store after signing so they had to redo it. I’m sure it’s worth the wait though! 🙂

I’ve got so many that I planned to get read this year and then didn’t get as much reading done as I wanted! Black Sun is also on my list although I’m hoping to read it very shortly. I’m not sure I want to identify how many I planned to read this year and didn’t, aha! Good luck getting around to them!
I didn’t get as much reading in as normal either, but it’s been a year so I’m trying to give myself a break about it. 🙂

Both Unconquerable Sun and Black Sun (oh, so many suns there… 😀 ) are on my “wanted” list and I will try to read them in 2021 – and rather sooner than later…
Oh yes, I didn’t get to UnSun either–so I have a lot of suns on my list as well. Like I said to someone else, I could have added 20 books to this list but didn’t want to depress myself LOL.

There were just so many books this year and I also didn’t read as much as previous years so it was hard to keep up. Let’s hope we can get to this in the new year!
Definitely recommend Once & Future as soon as you can! It’s a lovely book, and it just pops into my brain every once in a while to remind me how good it was, and I can’t wait until it’s finally time to reread it.
I wish I’d been able to actually accomplish my goal of reading all currently published Shadowhunters books, and I have no idea why it’s taking me forever given that I love them, but I’m just so far behind still.
Yeah, I’m excited for it, I just didn’t have time to squeeze it in, I’m hoping January or February at worst. 🙂
Are the Shadowhunters the Cassandra Clare books? Or the ones by Kenyon?
Cassandra Clare! They’re super cheesy and most of the plots are the same, but I’m just a diehard fan and will love them no matter what.
I believe I read the first one a LONG time ago, I keep meaning to catch up, the later books look especially interesting.
Oh gosh, I feel like the books I missed in 2020 would be far longer than I’m comfortable with, so I’m going to pretend that doesn’t exist. xD I really want to read Black Sun and The Bone Shard Daughter, too! I’ve heard wonderful things about them both. Hope you’re able to get to these in 2021, maybe. 🙂

Well, I could make a list but I think it would just get me down – too many books that were covid casualties for me this year. My mood was just dire.
I’ve read a few of these. Loved Black Sun and Bone Shard Daughter. Once and Future Witches was good but I didn’t love it as much as her first book – still good, just not quite as staggeringly good.

Mine would have been longer except I also would have been depressed, so I just picked a few to highlight.
I totally get it, my mood was all over the place last year, and a lot of it was just down in the dumps or filled with anxiety because of various things.
I’m really hoping to get to Black Sun soon! I ordered a signed copy from an indie book store on the other side of the country and it’s finally shipped and hopefully will be here this week. *crosses fingers*
Hopefully I’ll love the others as well (and I’ll also be able to get to them soon).
