These are all from books that I actually read OR have bought and currently have in my TBR (oh, there are far too many 2020 releases I still haven’t had the chance to pick up and read yet). All of these are pleasing to me for some reason or other.
Did any of these make your favorites list this year? What were some of your favorite covers from 2020? Leave a note in the comments, Iβd love to chat!
So many amazing covers this year!
I love the covers of The House in the Cerulean Sea!

I love that one too, I think it’s my absolute favorite. π
These look stunning together. I really like the cover for Burning Roses, it really jumps out at me.

Yes, I really love that cover, it’s so striking!
So many covers to choose from ππ
There were a lot of great ones this year! π
Something about The Midnight Bargain just calls to me. . . .
It’s such a lovely cover for an equally amazing book. π
Love these! I should do a favorite cover post too at some point. Of this bunch, my favorites are Drowned Country, The Order of the Pure Moon, and The Seventh Perfectionπ Hmm now that I think about it, these are all Tor.com, so obviously they have excellent people in their design department!
Those are all interesting ones for sure! Hahaha, well Tor.com has their stuff together. π
I feel like 2020 was THE year for beautiful book covers. I can count on one hand the number of ugly covers for once π
Yeah, there were just so many great covers this year!
These are beautiful, and I hadn’t seen a few of them before this post. Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome! There were a lot of great covers this past year. π
Oooh there are so many amazing covers here. I think my favourite is probably The Order of the Pure Moon Reflected in Water. I haven’t read it yet but that cover is beautiful. π
I love that cover too–it’s just so prettily designed. There were so many great covers to choose from this year. π
I totally love the bats coming out of the silhouette in the cover for Dracula’s Child: simple and ominous at the same time… π
Yes, exactly! I think that’s why it appeals to me so much. π
Lovely selection. My favorites are Polansky, Midnight Bargain and Drowned Country.
Those are all fantastic. I especially love the embroidery detail on the cover of The Midnight Bargain. π
Wow, Drowned Country is just gorgeous. That’s definitely a book I’d end up buying without even bothering with the summary because DAMN.
Yeah, I loooooove the cover for that so much. I really like the cover for the first book, Silver in the Wood, as well (although it’s quite a different cover style).
Those top three are my favs here: Cerulean Sea, the Zen Cho book, and Seventh Perfection. So beautiful.
They’re all great! Cerulean Sea is my top fave, it’s just so beautiful!
