Hello all! Here in the United States today is a national holiday, Labor Day, so I have off work. Of course our contractor decided to work today so I only had one free day this entire three-day weekend where I could relax (Sunday) and that was catching up on chores and blogging. Weeeeeeee! (I’ve not *quite* snapped yet, but I’m sure it’s coming…)
Good news is that even though things felt slow going I still managed to finish three books over the past week, all SFF although two were fantasy romances because that’s the kind of mood I’m in. One was a queer romantic historical fantasy featuring a vampire so it basically ticked all my boxes and it was sooooooo good.
This week I’m planning on concentrating on my September TBR pile. Last week I started Peace Talks by Jim Butcher (finally!) in audio. It’s good to be back in the world of Dresden although I’ll be honest I’m not so far in yet so the rest of the book remains to be seen. Looking forward to how this one shakes out.
In print I’m starting The Many-Coloured Land by Julian May. I’ve had this one in my TBR for a long, long time. I don’t know much about it but I think that’s sometimes the best way to dive into a series, right? No expectations here. 🙂
Hoping I can get to another book or two this week as well, I’m trying to do some reading for October reviews. I’m planning a Halloween theme for the month–it should be fun! We’ll see how my plans turn out though haha. Hope you all have a fantastic week! What are you reading? Leave a note in the comments, I love to chat!
