Starting next week on r/fantasy we’re going to be hosting our first ever virtual convention and we’re all very excited about it! With everything going on in the world we thought we’d reach out to some of our favorite authors and to those who may have their book tours cancelled due to the global COVID-19 pandemic and offer them a space to hang with fans and talk about their books and some other fun topics!
We’ll be hosting this event over the next several months, ramping up our AMA schedule, hosting special group AMA’s, having topical panel discussions, read-a-thons and giveaways. Please consider stopping by r/fantasy and joining in the fun! AMA’s are a great time to interact with your favorite authors and ask them all the burning questions you want to know.

Many of the r/fantasy moderators are working very hard behind the scenes to put this together so we can help authors and fans connect. I’d like to take this time to thank my fellow mods who have really stepped up, taken this idea and run with it–you’re all the best!

Thanks, Tammy! That’s what we were thinking. We are also planning a BUNCH of panels and stuff so I think it’s going to be a lot of fun if we can manage to pull it all off.

We have a ton more authors than are listed here too, we’re currently working on getting them scheduled for panel discussions so the schedule is constantly being updated. 🙂
What a wonderful idea! It’s true that from negative events something good always comes, and the possibility of interacting with so many talented authors is something I would not miss for the world 🙂
