Time for another round up of books from my TBR to go through! Each week I’ll be going over a selection from my physical unread books and deciding what to keep and what to purge. There will be a third option–undecided–which I might ask for your input on why you think I should keep or purge that title from my list. You can also check out my full TBR pile here.

Altered Seasons: Monsoonrise by Paul Briggs

I have NO IDEA what this book is, I think my husband might have bought it in the dealer’s room at Balticon and snuck it into my collection. (He’s not a huge reader and sometimes he buys books thinking I’ll read them and then tell him about them? I don’t know.)  Anywho. There’s not even a description for this on goodreads. It sounds like apocalyptic climate fic? I have no idea. It’s possible that it might be good but I’m not interested in reading it so it will be purged. PURGE

Moonheart by Charles de Lint

I haven’t read much by Charles de Lint but I’ve collected quite a lot and what I have read I’ve LOVED so I’m looking forward to reading more of his work. This one definitely stays in the pile. KEEP

The First Chronicles of Druss the Legend by David Gemmel

He was known as Druss. The Deathwalker. Though the blood of merciless butchers coursed through his veins, he had found a fragile peace through his love for beautiful, mystical Rowena. At one point several years ago I added a bunch of Gemmell to my TBR. But I find I’m not overly interested in this type of fantasy right now. Plus, this is a sequel to Legend and I don’t have the first book for whatever reason. So for now I’ll let this one go from my pile. PURGE

Shadowmarch by Tad Williams

So, I have this one and one sequel to it in my pile. I got these as part of the giant haul from my friend’s comic shop. I don’t know why I thought I wanted these? The covers? Just because I’ve heard good things about Tad Williams around the forums? I have no idea. But I don’t think I’m ever going to get around to these, realistically. – PURGE

The Outlaws of Sherwood by Robin McKinley

 

 

 

The classic tale of Robin Hood gets a new lift as real flesh-and-blood outlaws, on the lam from the gallows and the sword, fight for the sake of justice. Robin and his merry cohorts swing through the forest in these fresh additions to the timeless stories.

 

 

Robin McKinley is one of my favorite authors but I still have a bunch of books by her in my TBR that I need to read. I think I keep saving them so that I still have things to read. Maybe that’s just what I tell myself so I don’t feel bad about not having gotten to them yet. Hah. Anyway, definitely holding onto this one. KEEP
