Well, last week I finished a grand total of ZERO books. I think this is the first time I finished zero books in….probably a year or something. Even during my slumps my audiobooks usually keep me going but even my audio deserted me last week. That being said, things did start picking up over the weekend, just not in time for me to be able to finish anything because Saturday was a veg around the house and watch shows day and Sunday I had to do a bunch of housework. One thing I did manage to read was a webtoon called Humour Me which was really cute and was giving me some Ouran High School Host Club vibes, but without the Host Club and reverse harem thing going on.
So, I’m more than halfway through Cast in Wisdom by Michelle Sagara. I hope to have this one finished up early in the week and a review for it up Thursday since it comes out at the end of the month. So far I’m really enjoying this one, think it’s a great addition to the series.
For audios I’m FINALLY making serious progress on Steel Crow Saga. Unfortunately, I didn’t start getting on a roll with this one until the end of the week and over the weekend. I did listen to a few hours of it while doing housework so yay for multi-tasking. I’m really enjoying the characters in this one and I’m finally at a point where I’m not as confused with all that’s going on in it.
Next up in print is a the new novella from Stephanie Burgis set in her Harwood Spellbook universe, Moontangled. I love these books and this world so much, I can’t wait to dive into it! This should be a quick read, I expect I’ll devour it in a day.
For my next audiobook I’ll probably start my re-listen of Sorcerer’s Legacy by Janny Wurts for our HEA bookclub over on r/fantasy. If I do manage to get through both print books I’ll probably start on one of my library books since the due date for them is looming ever closer.
Those are my plans for this week, as always we’ll see how it actually goes. I’m hoping that my anxiety continues to abate (it’s been slightly less over the last week, almost back to normal ranges) and I’ll be able to get lots of reading done. What are you reading this week? Leave a note in the comments, I’d love to chat!
Enjoy your reading!
I’m currently reading The ten thousand doors of January!

Thanks, Evelyn! Ooooh, hope you enjoy it, I really loved that one.
I just found out about Moontangled this weekend. Definitely a series I want to get reading.
And Janny Wurts is amazing. I really need to catch up!
The first two books are so good, definitely a series worth checking out.
Janny is the best! I’ve only read this one book of hers though, she’s such a lovely person.
I started reading Janny when she cowrote the Empire trilogy with Raymond Feist. She knows how to tell a story.
She really does!
I was gone all weekend which killed my reading and blogging schedule for the week, so I doubt I’ll even have any reviews up this week. You’d think on a 6 hour plane flight I’d get a lot of reading done, but reading on planes just isn’t my favorite.
I’m such a nervous flyer it’s hard for me to concentrate on reading while flying because my thoughts keep racing so I totally get it. Hope you’re able to get some reading in this week!
Hi Lisa! Happy Monday, UGH!!
Hi Paul! Yeah….Monday. LOL 🙂
Allllmost finished with The Unspoken Name, should be able to finish today! I’m really enjoying it, the pace drags occasionally, but also manages to delight me again and again. Then I’m thinking I’ll jump to Fortuna for a change of pace.
Oh nice! I’ll look forward to your full review of that one! I’m interested to see what you think of Fortuna as well, I was on the fence about adding that one to my TBR after some initial reviews came out.
The Chronicles of Elantra is one of those series I want to binge one day.
Wishing you a great reading week
It makes for goon binge material, I read the first one and then didn’t keep up with the series and then binge read something like the next 6 or 7 books in a row all over the summer one year. 🙂 Thanks!
I had a similar week just before Christmas. I’m getting into my books now – I’ve had a few really good ones already so it’s perked me up no end.
Lynn 😀
That’s great you’ve read some good ones! I’m hoping to get back into the swing of things this weekend. 🙂
