Last week I finished a lot of books. Which is great! Because my boss comes back to work this week and my weekends have started getting hectic again for a while so things might be a bit tough squeezing in reading time, blogging time, doing regular stuff time….all in the same limited amount of free time. But, we’ll see how things go.
Okay, back to books. I finished FIVE books and ONE graphic novel. I’m trying my best to play catch up with my Autumn TBR pile and my new strategy of not having too many plans has worked out well this past week so I’m going to try it again this week.
So what am I reading now?
I started Soul of the Sword by Julie Kagawa in audio this weekend. Great to be back in this world and I’m enjoying it so far. This should be a fairly quick read and hope to finish it up around mid-week.
In print I’ll be reading an ARC of Legacy of Ghosts by Alicia Wanstall-Burke. This is the sequel to Blood of Heirs, a book I read last year and absolutely loved. Really excited to start this one because the first book really blew me away. Thanks much to Alicia for the review copy!
I’ll probably have time to at least start another audio this week, not sure what it will be yet. My issue is I only have one more audiobook on my current TBR and I don’t know if I want to start Dark Age just yet…. (it’s soooooo long!). I may end up looking for a couple of other books on my TBR on audio, just to keep things moving. We’ll see.
As far as other print books–well, I’ll be away for the last three days of this week to attend the CapClave convention near DC so I probably won’t have much reading time in between mingling, hanging out with friends, and attending panels and such. And Thursday night I’ll be packing (I’m sure a lot of that will involve deciding which books to take to get signed). So, realistically I only have tonight, tomorrow evening, and Wednesday. Welp, as Tim Gunn says, ‘make it work!’. 🙂
Hope you all have a fantastic week. What are your reading plans? Leave a note in the comments, I’d love to chat!
I’m excited to hear about your Capclave adventures, have fun!

Enjoying it so far! I’ve been meaning to read Warbreaker since forever, looking forward to your review!
For some reason, it said I wasn’t following you. Weird! I followed again: I don’t want to miss any of your posts.
I’ve heard that wordpress has randomly been unfollowing sometimes. So weird. I hope I’m not missing anyone!
Enjoy Soul of Swords! I’m so excited for the final book next year.
I’m liking it so far!
You read 5 books in a week?! Good job! Also- Throne of Ghosts looks cool. Love the cover!
Yeah, I was in a reading groove! Two of them were novellas but still 🙂
The first book to that series, Blood of Heirs, is quite good, definitely recommend it if you like epic fantasy.
Hope Capclave was fun?
Lynn 😀
It’s this weekend, having a blast. Somehow yesterday Martha Wells invited us to dinner with her and I’m like what is even life?!?! 🙂
