Hello everyone, hope you’ve all been doing well. This week I’m finally back to blogging. Sorta. Well, I hope to be working on it daily again at least and get back to blog hopping no later than this weekend. The last two weekends have been busy and full of people and I’d like to have a weekend where I sit around in my pjs for two days straight again please.
Anyway, last week I finished three books – two romances and a SFF book – The Library of the Dead. That was quite fun. If you like urban fantasy I’d say check it out. Because the protagonist is quite young it’s got a bit of a different angle but I really had a good time with it.
I’m still working on The Age of Witches by Louisa Morgan in audio. I’m making okay progress though. The problem is that I just don’t have nearly enough time to audiobook these days. The book is good though, very engaging. I’m curious to see where it goes.
In ebook I’m also still working on The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri. I haven’t made a whole lot of progress. It’s not that it’s not good because it is, I just think I’m not in the right mood to be reading this book right now. My mood is a wild and weird thing. But I am enjoying this when I’m reading it. The characters are intriguing but what interests me most is the weird magical rot that’s afflicting the land and people. Need to know more.
Last but not least, for physical books I started Song of Blood & Stone by L. Penelope. I’m almost halfway through this one already. This book is not going where I thought it would and I love that about it. There’s lots of things afoot and I’m keen to see how it all comes together.
I’m really going to buckle down and try to finish the two books that I’ve been reading for a while this week. I just need to get them finished up so I can start other things–my May book list keeps growing! I have so much I want to read and I’ve been a bit stuck, hoping that gets cleared up. Crossing my fingers. What are you reading this week? Leave a note in the comments, I’d love to chat!
Definitely intrigued to try The Library of the Dead and The Jasmine Throne!
I should be starting The Bone Shard Daughter but I haven’t picked up anything since finishing The Dragon Republic on Friday. Partly lots going on with Wyrd and Wonder to lose myself in, partly I’m so behind on reviews I think I’m scared to start something new… so I better write some reviews today ๐
The Library of the Dead–really loved it. Felt unique and yet a bit familiar.
I really need to read The Bone Shard Daughter myself it it may be a while ๐ ๐
I feel you on being behind on reviews. I’m behind on everything haha. Good luck!
I’m glad you loved The Library of the Dead, I’ll be reading it next month๐
I think you’ll enjoy it, Tammy. ๐
I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts about those books! Enjoy!
Thank you!
Very curious about the library of the dead!!
It’s like a YA Urban Fantasy? But it doesn’t feel YA but the protagonist is young. Either way it was pretty interesting and I had a lot of fun with it.
Oh cool! โบ๏ธ
Song of Blood and Stone looks intriguing, and even more intriguing your comment that it’s not what you expected – but in a good way ๐
I’m really enjoying it so far! I need to dive back in but time has been in short supply today. ๐
I liked the Library of the Dead too.

It was such a fun one and I loved the voice of the author.
