Hello and welcome to my month long celebration of all things Halloween. October has always been my absolute favorite month. The leaves change color, the weather gets cool, and of course it features my favorite holiday–Halloween! (Well, and my birthday is also this month but I really don’t need to think about how old I’m getting haha.)
This month in reviews I will cover books that feature ‘creatures of the night’ and other spooky things in celebration of my favorite month. So look forward to lots of vampires (I know, what a surprise!), shifters, ghosts, witches, etc.
Waiting on Wednesday posts will be temporarily replaced by Halloween Highlights — these are books that are already out that I want to read but haven’t gotten the chance to pick up yet. All of these will be ‘Halloween-y’ in some way. 🙂

Last, but certainly not least, I’ll be taking part in Spooktastic Reads, a mini-event hosted by the folks behind Wyrd and Wonder. This mini event will take place from October 19th through midnight of the 31st! You can find out more details about the event at onemore.org. This looks to be a lot of fun and I’m really looking forward to it!
As you can see, I’ve got a lot of stuff planned for this month, and maybe there will be a couple of surprises along the way as well. I’m excited for the month ahead!
I’ve noticed lots of Halloween blogging events around, which really builds excitement for the month. I’m not joining anything in particular because I’m going to be focusing my energies on Sci Fi Month in November, but I’ve got spooky reads planned too😁 Can’t wait to see your posts!
I think I’m also going to join in Sci Fi month a bit, I have at least 4 reviews that are Sci Fi planned but I probably won’t go crazy with special posts because I already put so much energy into this haha! Looking forward to seeing your own Halloween posts!
Hope you have a great month of spooky reads. Looking forward to your posts, especially anything to do with vampire reads 😊. Spooktastic reads sounds like fun, enjoy!
Thank you! I’m hoping it will be a fun month all around. 🙂
I’m also partipating in Spooktastic, I’m looking forward to reading all the spooky posts! 😀
It should be a fun time! Looking forward to your posts as well. 😀
Enjoy the month’s spooky reading!
Thank you!
Nice, I did not know about Spooktastic! Since I was planning on stacking my month with creepy/dark/horror reads, maybe I’ll join up 😀
I hope you do, it should be a fun time! 😀
My birthday is also in October, twinsies! Enjoy Spooktastic Reads!
Yay! I’m clearly biased but October birthdays are the best. ❤
Thanks!
IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEARRRR~!!!
I love October, full stop. So excited for all of your spooky posts, and even though I am not participating in any events this year, all of my reading & reviews this month are going to be spooky variety.
It really is the most wonderful time haha. Thanks, Kal! My spooky reviews are like….vampires, witches, necromancers…that type haha. I don’t know how much actual ‘horror’ but I’m hoping I’m giving off a Halloween vibe at least. 😀 Looking forward to your spooky reviews!
GOOD I AM ALL FOR PARANORMAL!
LOL, same obvs 😉
Ok I’m excited for Halloween month on your blog!!
I plan to participate in Spooktastic Reads too… need to figure out what I’m reading though.
Well, it’s mostly going to be me reviewing vampire books LOL so not *that* much of a change from normal maybe 😉
Spooktastic Reads looks to be a good time! I might read The Haunting of Hill House.
I’m hoping to join in with Spooktastic too,
Have fun.
Lynn 😀
Thanks! Hope you have fun with it as well. 🙂
Hallo, Hallo,…
Swinging round to visit with our #SpooktasticReads bloggers and I love how some of you were able to announce this lovely readathon for #spookyreads earlier in the month! I had planned to do the same myself but with my migrianes blogging took a bit of a backseat as much as reading did as well. Thankfully I am feeling a bit better now that the readathon has begun and I’m quite excited about the stories I’m listening to and will be reading as a result of what I’ve pulled off my shelves. Now I’ll have a nose round your blog and see what else you’ve been sharing this Spooktacular week!
Thanks for joining us and enjoying the events we’re organising. We appreciate you!
Thanks for stopping by Jorie! I had hoped to have up some posts related to the prompts but I haven’t had the time yet to properly go through them yet haha. I hope that you have a good time with the event and thanks for co-hosting!
