The Sunday Post #38

thesundaypost

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog.

Random News And Goings-On

Let’s see, what have I been doing since the last update?

  • Continuing my job search to (so far) no avail
  • Slowly working on my embroidery project
  • Buying more embroidery supplies (look, I enjoy buying craft supplies okay?)
  • Reading a bit
  • Hanging out with my friends on zoom
  • Watching The Untamed (omg this show! I love it so much! *crying*)
  • Moving things along with the planning stages of our kitchen and bath renovation

Even though I’ve been back at the office full time for…a month an a half now, things continue to be really weird and NOT normal and I think this is finally starting to mess with me after all this time, especially as infection rates are starting to climb again.

New Book Arrivals at Way Too Fantasy

Physical Books

Only one this time around, I got the latest volume (number 7) of Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card by CLAMP. Right now these are all still in my TBR but at some point I’ll binge read these haha. 🙂

Ebooks

I…went on a bit of a Romance buying book spree. I need more comfort reads!

  • Flowers From the Storm by Laura Kinsale (since read)
  • The Last Kiss by Sally Malcolm
  • A Lady Awakened by Cecelia Grant
  • Would I Lie to the Duke by Eva Leigh (since read)

I picked up The Amberlough Dossier by Lara Elena Donnelly. I already have the first two books in my TBR but couldn’t resist picking up all three books in digital format for only $2.99!

Also on ebook sale, A Pale Light in the Black by K. B. Wagers which I’ve heard described as ‘cozy space opera featuring found family’ and frankly that was all it took.

And last but certainly not least I had made a rare request on netgalley for A Dance with Fate by Juliet Marillier and it was approved this week! Very excited for this one and it’s my kind of comfort reading so I think this will work great with my mood right now. Very much looking forward to it.

Audiobooks

pt-cover

Finally my new audible credits arrived and I picked up Peace Talks by Jim Butcher–very much looking forward to reading this one as well, everyone seems to be loving it.

I’m not sure what I’ll be using my other credit on but there are a few possibilities–I could get the next book in The Company series by Kage Baker, the next book in The Confederation series by Tanya Huff, or I could get the final book in The Bone Witch trilogy by Rin Chupeco and cross another series off my list. Going to sit on it a few days and see what I feel like. I might also decide to just look what new titles came out that I’m missing and get one of those instead.

That’s the news for this week, see you next time! Everyone have a fantastic week!

I would love to go to my favourite book shop with a great big trolley and fill it up. I don’t know any of those titles you mention; the world is so filled with great books and I won’t get to read them all . . .

My work place is weird too. And even though we have to wear masks, there’s always that ONE person who doesn’t cover their nose, I mean what an idiot! And we have a sign on our door that visitors are not allowed, yet people don’t read the sign and just wander in. OK now that I’ve got that off my chest, have a good week, Lisa!

People are just so selfish and entitled, they think that the only thing that matters is their own stuff, it makes me so angry. Feel free to vent to me anytime. 🙂

Hope you have a great week too, Tammy!

    Yey for craft supplies!
I really need to sit down and finish the Untamed, but I also really really don’t want it to be over

I really do have an addiction to getting craft supplies though, it’s a legit problem haha.

I know what you mean! It was so good though. I really want to rewatch it. I think there’s a special cut on youtube….lol.
