Can’t-Wait Wednesday: Battle Ground by Jim Butcher

Can’t-Wait Wednesday, aka Waiting on Wednesday, is a weekly meme originating from Jill at Breaking the Spine and now hosted by Wishful Endings. If you’re interested in participating, stop by Wishful Endings to link up your posts.

battle_ground_coverTHINGS ARE ABOUT TO GET SERIOUS FOR HARRY DRESDEN, CHICAGO’S ONLY PROFESSIONAL WIZARD, in the next entry in the #1 New York Times bestselling Dresden Files.

Harry has faced terrible odds before. He has a long history of fighting enemies above his weight class. The Red Court of vampires. The fallen angels of the Order of the Blackened Denarius. The Outsiders.

But this time it’s different. A being more powerful and dangerous on an order of magnitude beyond what the world has seen in a millennium is coming. And she’s bringing an army. The Last Titan has declared war on the city of Chicago, and has come to subjugate humanity, obliterating any who stand in her way.

Harry’s mission is simple but impossible: Save the city by killing a Titan. And the attempt will change Harry’s life, Chicago, and the mortal world forever.

I can’t believe we’re getting TWO new Dresden Files books this year! What a treat. So excited to dive back into Harry’s world not once, but twice! Exciting times are ahead. Battle Ground is expected September 29th, 2020 from Ace.

Every time I see a blogger talk about this series I feel so bummed that I haven’t started it yet… But very cool that there are two new books this year😁

I can see why people love it so much, it’s really easy to get drawn in and they’re also super quick reads. I read them over the course of a year, one or two a month, so it didn’t take too much to catch up. There’s always time! 🙂
