This Week in Reading: Playing Catch Up

Last week I finished….one book? Yeah. One. Well, still better than none! I finished up Spin the Dawn (spoiler: loved it!) and am making great progress on my next audiobook. Other than that…well, I did some reading but didn’t finish anything else. Hopefully this week things will change because I should have some free time on the horizon, huzzah! Time to catch up on everything, woot!

So, I’m still reading Sunkissed Feathers & Severed Ties by Kellie Doherty. I’m a little over halfway through so, now that I have some time, I think I’ll be able to get through it before the week is up.

In audio, breezing my way through Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater. Full expect to wrap this one up by end of day. I wish I would have made it last a little longer but I’m just enjoying so much it’s hard to stop listening to it.

Next up, I’ll finally be starting Dark Age by Pierce Brown. This is a biggun. I fully expect to be listening to this one for at least two weeks. I’m really excited for it though, can’t wait to see where Brown is taking this story.

Last but not least, I’ll be reading Dragons of Autunn Twighlight by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman a little bit each week over the rest of the month as part of a readalong hosted by Jason at Off The TBR blog. It’s not too late to join in! So far we’ve had some good discussion and I’m looking forward to the rest of the chapters. Having a ton of fun revisting this old favorite.

Not sure what my next print book will be. There is another readalong this month:  The Last Sun by KD Edwards and I’d love to reread that one and join in, but I also have my TBR to consider. Decisions, decisions. I might go for a novella. We’ll see where my mood takes me! What are you reading this week? Leave a note in the comments, I’d love to chat!

Working on soapy YA thriller THE DAZZLING HEIGHTS (which I’d term sci-fi lite – it takes place 100 years in the future, with all the kinds of tech upgrades you can imagine, and one of the characters has built an AI, but the focus is on the teen drama), hoping to blitz through that in the next few days, then I think I’m going to tackle THERE BEFORE THE CHAOS!
