Ah, well I only managed to read one book on my list last week, and two books not on my list. At least one of the ‘not on list’ books is one that I’ve been meaning to read for a while, so there’s that. Anywho, due to a bunch of craziness that struck mid-week, I didn’t get much reading done. So then my plan was to bury myself in fun books this weekend but I just couldn’t concentrate on reading much. My husband and I did manage to make some more progress on our basement game room project though, so there’s that. (Although, we still have a ways to go there, turns out we’ll need yet another book case — I’m so tired of putting kallax’s together!)
Anywho. My list of reading will be pretty much the same as last week.
I’m almost finished Once & Future by Amy Rose Capetta and Cori McCarthy. I should be able to finish this one up in the next day or two. This has been an interesting one and I definitely have some thoughts on it, lol.
Next up in audio is The True Queen by Zen Cho. Can’t wait to dive into this one!
I’m still planning on reading Shin by T. Cook and Straight Outta Fangton by C.T. Phipps. Both of these should be pretty quick reads if I can just manage to start them. I just have to buckle down! I can do it!
Hopefully this week will be a little bit better than last week, although it probably won’t be less busy. I have the bingo changeover starting today and prize drawings to organize, etc. Also, I decided to start yet another book club, this time for romantic speculative fiction, but I probably won’t start things up with it until the bingo stuff dies down a bit, so maybe May might be our first book selection–we’ll see how it goes!
What is everyone else reading this week? Leave a note in the comments, I’d love to hear from you!
Looking forward to your review of Once & Future, I was excited to read this until the reviews started coming out! This week I’m finishing up Wicked Saints for a blog tour stop, and then maybe Titanshade😁
I have thoughts and right now they’re jumbled so actually looking forward to writing my review for this one Haha. Looks like you have some good stuff ahead! Have a great week, Tammy!
Reading Seven Blades in Black right now, which will probably take me the rest of the week. The downside of eARCs is sometimes you don’t realize what you’ve gotten yourself in for page-count-wise…until photos of the physical ARCs hit twitter. 600ish pages, yikes! But it’s a good read at least!
Oh goodness that is a bit larger than normal hah. Glad you’re enjoying it though! After Ruin of Kings I’m taking a short break from tomes.
I’m so divided on whether or not I want to read Once & Future, so I’m curious to see your review!
This whole month is going to be catch-up for me, both with preorders and with very old backlist books, but I’m starting with a sweet middle grade and hopefully Mist, Metal, and Ash, which came out two months ago and has been sitting next to my bed giving me “next???” vibes for weeks now, haha.
Hopefully will have my review up soon. 🙂
I hope to be reading Mist, Metal, and Ash soon myself! I’ve also had that one in my tbr pile since it came out.
I’m about to finish the fever king and I’m listening to hunted 🙂

I really want to read The Fever King too. Looking forward to your thoughts on it!
I just scheduled my review 🙂 (will take a while before it is actually posted though..)
I’ll look out for it!
Currently reading The Binding – about a third of the way in and quite intriguing so far.
Lynn 😀
Looking forward to your thoughts on it!
I definitely look forward to hearing your thoughts on Once & Future! I enjoyed T. Cook’s Spinning Silk, I need to check out Shin!
Literally just started Shin last night and am enjoying it so far. The prose is fantastic, which was one of my favorite things about Spinning Silk.
I’m reading The Deepest Blue right now and actually really enjoying it (as opposed to most everything I’ve been trying to read lately)
Glad you found one you’re enjoying! Finally!
Ooh, curious to hear those thoughts on Once & Future! LOL 😀
Well…I definitely have thoughts, I’ll say that much lol
I fall in love with the cover of Straight Outta Fangton more every time I see it. Hope you love it! I’m still in hangover hell from a book I finished last week so I haven’t started anything today but I’m hoping to start We Rule the Night tomorrow. Because it’s got a deadline and it’s FAST approaching. 😛
I enjoyed another of his books so I think this one will be pretty fun too.
Good luck with your reading! Book hangovers are tough!
Your game room sounds awesome! And you can never have too many bookshelves (even if it sucks putting them together 😉 )
Hah, true!
