Hot Chocolate: Marshmallows and chocolate and whipped cream, oh my! Recommend a book that’s sweet through and through.

Marillier does love to torture her characters, and I don’t think this book is an exception, but it’s mostly all in the character’s pasts in this story. This is a loose retelling of Beauty and the Beast with a mostly non-grumpy Beast which I really appreciated. A sweet romantic fantasy, I really loved this book!

Peppermint Mocha: The flavor of peppermint is strong and distinct. Recommend a book with a lot of strong emotions.

This book just did a number on me. It’s so tough to like Maggie at first but by the end you can’t help but feel for her. While the plot meandered, the emotional quotient of the book was pretty heavy.

Apple Cider: It’s so good it can’t be good for you, but it’s from apples—that means it’s healthy, right? Recommend a book full of characters with questionable morals.

I mean, they’re a band of con artists in a nitty gritty world city. I love this book and I love the characters, but they’re definitely not boy scouts. 😀

Eggnog: It’s creamy and smooth, with a little spice, and some people even add alcohol to it. Recommend a book that’s mostly fun, with just a hint of danger.

I read this one earlier this year, and while I don’t think it’s Aaron’s best book, it was still a lot of fun. Aaron writes great characters and this is no exception. This one’s a bit of an adventure heist and I loved that aspect of it. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

Gingerbread Latte: A drink with a veritable explosion of spices. Recommend a book with a lot of action.

Just read this one not long ago and really loved it. Packed full of action from beginning to end, the pacing of this novel is great. Not only that but the characters are fun and the world building is pretty interesting. Can’t wait for more!

Well, that’s my list! Thoughts on these? What’s on your list? As usual, not tagging anyone but if you want to fill this one out, consider yourself tagged. 🙂
