Well, I’m planning on reading A LOT in December, but I don’t know what all those books will be yet! I’m trying to just go with the flow. On the one hand I feel kind of bad because I have quite a few review books I need to get to, and maybe some of those will be things I pick up, but I kind of just want to read whatever for a few weeks. So, sorry if you’ve requested a review from me, I am a little bit behind and I’ll get to your book soon! 🙂
I’m almost finished with Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa and really enjoying it. Hoping to finish this one up shortly. Next up in audio is Ghost Story by Jim Butcher. Only three books to go with this series! Can I finish it by the end of the month? Hopefully! I also started In the Vanisher’s Palace by Aliette de Bodard last night so I’ll be finishing that up as well. As for the rest? Not sure what I’ll pick up yet. Maybe one of my review books, maybe some romances, maybe I’ll start that Sailor Moon manga re-read I’ve been meaning to do since forever. We’ll see what happens! I’m foot loose and fancy free, so watch out world!
What are everyone else’s plans this week? Leave a note in the comments, I’d love to hear from you!
Mood reading is the best, right? I always like to mood read in December too, since there are so many other pressures during the month. I just started Vengeful and I love being back in that world😁
Yeah, and I’m naturally a mood reader as well, so that’s why sticking to a schedule is hard for me to begin with, but I’ve been doing pretty good most of the year, haha. Oh, I haven’t started that series yet, but looking forward to it, have fun!
Reading what appeals is my December reading programme. Reading a book because you feel you have to doesn’t really work.
Yeah. Most of the time I end up liking whatever I pick, but it’s just the ‘what I want to pick up’ that’s bothering me lately. I think I need a bit of a break from ‘must’ for a bit. 🙂
Working on THE WINTER OF THE WITCH (swoon!) right now, then I think it will finally be time for the great task of THE WAY OF KINGS.
I’ve heard good things about The Winter of the Witch! Happy reading!
I’m rereading Foundryside and finishing up The Girl in the Tower, then…honestly no idea where to go next. Curse of the Mistwraith for the classics book club? Treason’s Shore, finally? Court of Broken Knives? Any of the countless ebooks I grabbed on sales? I don’t know.
I hear you, I have SO MUCH to choose from. Part of my problem, really, haha. I hope to get to Foundryside soon myself. I am terrible at sticking to the books for any of the book clubs whoops, lol.
So I’m new like a good week. I definitely to.mood read 🙂 📚 right now I’m very slowly making my way through the Foundryside audiobook and reading Fire and Heist which is fun so far
Hope you’re enjoying Foundryside, because I want to read that one soonish. Fire and Heist *sounds* fun!
My December is open too. I have my SPFBO books to complete but hoping to fit in a couple of my own books too.
That Bodard cover is ace.
Lynn 😀
Hope you get to read some things you want to this month!
I LOVE the cover for that book. So pretty.
So glad to hear you’re enjoying Shadow of the Fox! And damn, I miss Harry. I loved Butcher’s new airship/steampunk book, but I can’t wait for him to revisit Dresden again 🙂
I’m enjoying it so much that I’m almost finished it! I didn’t get much reading done last week cuz of being sick (surprisingly, I thought I’d have extra reading time but I was just too miserable). I haven’t read that new Butcher but my friend at work who is a huge fan of Dresden really liked that one too. 🙂
Enjoy reading whatever floats your boat!! That is my reading style, planning out my reading never works haha
Yeah, this is why I usually only plan like 1 book ahead but even that hasn’t been feeling right lately. Trying to avoid the slump so just going for it!
Glad you enjoyed shadow of the fox!
