This Week in Reading: Ending the Month on a High Note

Hell all! Can’t believe we’re already entering the last week of February and 2021 will soon have two months behind it. Time is weird. Anyway, I once again had a pretty good week in reading last week, although it wasn’t quite as fruitful as the previous week. It’s hard to top that haha. I managed to finish off THREE books–one Romance and two SFF books.

For Valentine’s Day my husband bought me this cute mini-dollhouse kit that’s a takoyaki stand. It’s so cute! So I’ve been working on that here and there and it’s given me more audiobook time at home. Combining two hobbies is a win-win! Hopefully this will allow me to get through more audio and start getting my queue down and eventually I can think about getting my audible subscription back up and running. We’ll see, but so far it’s working out okay.

I wound up having off a day and a half extra last week due to the weather but because I was half working from home and also constantly trying to figure out if the weather was going to clear up enough for me to make it into work it felt like it was hard to focus and really get into anything. What a waste of a day! And then Saturday I wasn’t feeling well and took a nap in the early afternoon. So I’m still way behind in house work (look–something had to be sacrificed) and I’m a little behind in blog stuff (at least for me!). But hoping to catch up on things soon. *crossing my fingers*

In print (physical book) I’m still finishing up The Deepest Blue by Sarah Beth Durst. Enjoying that one a lot so far. It shouldn’t take me that long to finish it, it’s a surprisingly quick read, but I’ve let myself get distracted by other books (as one does).

In ebook format I’ll be starting The Unbroken by C.L. Clark. I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this one so I’m not putting it off! I’m going to buddy read this one with one of my friends on twitter so look out for that, should be fun.

In audio I’ve started Spirit’s End by Rachel Aaron which is the last of her Legend of Eli Monpress books. This is on my March TBR pile and is a bit of a longer audio so might as well start it a bit early since it might take a while for me to finish it up. It’s great being back in this world and I’m looking forward to seeing how this story ends! And I’m also excited about checking off another series from my list of ongoing series. πŸ˜‰

So those are my plans, I’m hoping they work out. What are you reading this week? Leave a note in the comments, I’d love to chat!

Yeah same but at some point I’m going to have to clean LOL. It’s getting raggedy in here haha.
Oh, I’ve always wanted to read something by Yoon Ha Lee–hope you enjoy it! A week off to read sounds delightful, enjoy! I still need to read the last book of that series. I think I keep putting it off because I know it’s going to break me haha.

It’s super cute and I’m having fun putting it together which is really surprising because I usually don’t have such patience LOL.
Yeah, February is a short month anyway but it really did go by fast! Hopefully you’ll be able to sneak in at least one more read before the end.

It’s so cute! I didn’t even know these existed until the other day and now I’m obsessed LOL. Everything gets glued down so you can’t really take anything out to play with it once it’s together, it’s more for the visuals lol. I’m having so much fun putting it together! I think I’ll be finished this weekend. *crosses fingers*
Thanks, I’m enjoying The Unbroken so far, even though I’m not super far in yet. Had some unexpected things come up during the week. Hoping to catch up this weekend haha. Hope you get to check it out!
