Martine is a genetically cloned replica made from Evelyn Caldwell’s award-winning research. She’s patient and gentle and obedient. She’s everything Evelyn swore she’d never be.
And she’s having an affair with Evelyn’s husband.
Now, the cheating bastard is dead, and the Caldwell wives have a mess to clean up.
Good thing Evelyn Caldwell is used to getting her hands dirty
Another new Sarah Gailey book! Sarah is so prolific–it’s really quite impressive. I’ve yet to read any of their work though–maybe this will be the one! It looks really interesting…clones!!! The Echo Wife is expected February 16th, 2021 from Tor Books.
This sounds cool and creepy and, knowing Sarah, likely somehow empowering too. I can’t wait!
Sarah does seem to like empowering stories! I’m hoping I can get to this one, I keep meaning to read something by them and not being able to find the time (darn me!).
I’ve read at least three of their books and really enjoyed all of them. I’m excited for this too!
Yeah, I remember reading some of your reviews for their previous stuff. They seem to be pretty prolific!
I have an ARC of this and I can’t wait to check it out!
Looking forward to your thoughts on it!
this sounds so interesting! hope you enjoy this when it comes out!
Thanks, Kaya!
I’m so intrigued by this, but resisting requesting a copy because aiiiii my backlog. I’ll reward myself with a copy next year when it comes out if I’ve caught up a bit 😉
Yeah, I know what you mean, I have quite a backlog myself…LOL. (new, shiny!)
Yay, I snagged a copy of this one and can’t wait too.
Lynn 😀
Oh, nice! I can’t wait to see what you think of it.
I probably won’t get this right off the bat, but it’s certainly intriguing! I don’t know why I thought this came out already, maybe it got delayed…
Hmm, maybe. Sarah Gailey keeps coming out with books so fast it’s hard to keep up. 🙂
