For years, Robin Thorpe has kept her head down, staying among her people in the Riverside neighborhood and hiding the magic that would have her imprisoned by the state. But when Grace Hensley comes knocking on Clan Thorpe’s door, Robin’s days of hiding are at an end. As freed witches flood the streets of Kingston, scrambling to reintegrate with a kingdom that destroyed their lives, Robin begins to plot a course that will ensure a freer, juster Aeland. At the same time, she has to face her long-bottled feelings for the childhood love that vanished into an asylum twenty years ago.
Can Robin find happiness among the rising tides of revolution? Can Kingston survive the blizzards that threaten, the desperate monarchy, and the birth throes of democracy? Find out as the Kingston Cycle comes to an end.
First of all, this cover is everything. Secondly, I’m really looking forward to the final volume of the series! C. L. Polk writes the kind of books I love reading and I’m a happy reader whenever a new one is on the horizon. Soulstar is expected February, 16th 2021 from Tor.com.
I haven’t read Poly yet but I’ve had my eye on this series – great pick!
Thanks!
This is the second time I’ve seen Polk’s name mentioned in a post today so I’m thinking it’s a sign that I should check out these books 😂 This sounds really cool and I love the cover as well. Hope you enjoy it!
I’ve only read two books by her so far but I’ve loved them both! 🙂 Thanks!
I’m not reading this series but I own copies of the first two books! Might have to do a binge read😁
Not sure about book 2 because I haven’t read it and I’ve heard…things from my friends because they loathed the main character of book 2 lol. BUT. I HIGHLY recommend the first book in the series. 🙂
Ah, I haven’t started this series yet!
I LOVED the first book. I haven’t gotten to book 2 yet but hopefully soon. 🙂
Groans! I need to catch up – with everything. I’m making a good push this month though and no review reads for December so hopefully more catching up.
Lynn 😀
Good luck with catching up–in the midst of it myself and I know how much work goes into it. Hopefully you’ll find some lovely reads!
