Can’t-Wait Wednesday, aka Waiting on Wednesday, is a weekly meme originating from Jill at Breaking the Spine and now hosted by Wishful Endings. If you’re interested in participating, stop by Wishful Endings to link up your posts.
When his traditional Latinx family has problems accepting his gender, Yadriel becomes determined to prove himself a real brujo. With the help of his cousin and best friend Maritza, he performs the ritual himself, and then sets out to find the ghost of his murdered cousin and set it free.
However, the ghost he summons is actually Julian Diaz, the school’s resident bad boy, and Julian is not about to go quietly into death. He’s determined to find out what happened and tie up some loose ends before he leaves. Left with no choice, Yadriel agrees to help Julian, so that they can both get what they want. But the longer Yadriel spends with Julian, the less he wants to let him leave.
I’ve been seeing some buzz about this one here and there and I’ll admit that I’ve grown curious about this title. Looking forward to checking this one out! Cemetery Boys is expected September 1st 2020 from Swoon Reads.
I’ve been curious about this one myself – nice pick!
Thanks!
This does sound good. And Thomas has another book coming out in March😁 Thanks for sharing!
Oh wow, I don’t think I knew that. Authors are so prolific these days lol. 🙂
A very intriguing premise! I hope you enjoy! 😀
Thanks, me too!
I have been wondering about this one.
Me too, it looks good!
I’d be interested to see how this is! 😀
I think it has potential!
I can’t wait for Cemetery Boys!! (fangirling)
It looks so good!
I’m pretty darn excited about this one, too! It sounds absolutely fantastic! I’m on a blog tour for this next month, and I’m trying not to pick it up too soon, but it’s hard. xD
Ooh, exciting! I’ll be looking forward to your thoughts then. 🙂
I want to read this!! Being in a book buying ban sucks because there are so many books that have come out this year that I’m interested in.
Same! I’ve only allowed myself to buy sequels for SFF books (because I have so many piled up) with three exceptions and somehow I keep getting more books anyway? But there are a lot I’m still holding off on.
I’ve only purchased/preordered 4 books since I started the ban so I’m doing really good sticking to it.
That’s awesome!
Look forward to seeing how you get on with this one.
Lynn 😀
Thanks, me too–I hope it’s going to be great. 🙂
