I had another good week in reading last week. I somehow managed to finish off FIVE books. Two romances and three SFF books. Also, I’m now only three squares away from completing my r/fantasy bingo card–huzzah! I had a lot of time to read this weekend and I did get some in but I definitely could have spent more time working on books but…got distracted by life. I also worked on some blogging stuff–staying caught up with those reviews, woot!
I started The Killing Fog by Jeff Wheeler over the weekend and am enjoying it so far although I admit I’m not very far into it yet. The world is intriguing to me and I like the main character. Hoping to get through this one pretty fast since its the lone holdover from last month’s TBR pile.
I’ll probably simultaneously be reading The Other People by C.J. Tudor as I had an ebook on hold from the library and it came in last week and I haven’t had time to get to it yet. Less than a week left on my loan so I need to step it up!
If, by some miracle, I manage to finish up both of those books in print, I hope to get to Full Moon Rising by Keri Arthur. This is a book I’m reading for my vampire themed bingo card – by an Australian Author square. This is also an ebook so hopefully will be quick reading. If not, this will probably be on here next week again. We’ll see!
My lone audiobook this week is The Lightning-Struck Heart by TJ Klune. I fell in love with Klune’s writing last year after reading Wolfsong and while this one is a different vibe (started it over the weekend), I’m absolutely loving it so far. In fact I may have a hard time listening to it at work because I keep laughing.
Those are my plans, let’s see how I do. So far I’ve been doing fairly well sticking to plans which is good because I’m making lots of progress with obligated reading but also I will be pretty happy when I get through most of this obligated reading! The book blogger’s dilemma LOL. What are you reading this week? Leave a note in the comments, I’d love to chat!
Looks like you’ll be having a good week 😁 enjoy your reads.
Thanks, Ivy! Hope you have a great week too!
Yay five books!! Good luck for your reading goals!
Thank you!
Sounds like you’ve got some great books coming up. I know I already mentioned this- but I’m looking forward to your review of The Killing Fog. I have a copy too that I’d like to get to. Eventually.
I started The Killing Fog over the weekend but I’m only JUST into it so I don’t have a feel yet, so far so good though. 🙂
Enjoy your reading!
I will finish reading Between burning worlds later today, and probably pick up Archenemies next!

Thanks, Evelyn! Hope you enjoy those, looking forward to your thoughts!
I know what you mean, I always feel obligated to read certain books, but it’s hard when you’re not really in the mood. I just started a left over February book, Bent Heavens, and OMG its sooo good!
Yes exactly, and I am SUCH a mood reader lol.
Oooh, glad you found one that’s good, I’ll look forward to your full thoughts on it then. 🙂
Dove into GODSGRAVE yesterday and it made it INCREDIBLY difficult to do anything else with my day. I think I’m 1/3 through already? I’m going to tackle Legacy of Ash next, knock out that tome so I can figure out what I can get through the rest of the month.
Hahah, those Nevernight books ARE highly addictive. Can’t wait to see your final thoughts! Good luck with the tome!
Hope I’ll get time to fit in The Killing Fog this month, because it sounds very interesting to me. Glad to hear you’re enjoying it so far!
Hope you get time for it too. I’m not that far in but the start is intriguing so far!
Sounds like you had a strong reading week and with some more good books to look forward to. Hope your reading is going equally well this week.
Lynn 😀
Thanks, Lynn! So far so good. 🙂
Woot! Glad to hear you’re loving Lightning Struck Heart! It’s not my favourite of TJ Klune’s, but hot dang it’s such a great depression remedy. I had a full-on 15 minute giggle attack at one point when I first read it. 😀 I’ve been picking through Electric Heir still, but uh, I realized I’m not in the best headspace right now to read about deadly fictional viruses and I keep picking it up and putting it down. So I’m wondering if I should save it for some other time (when the world isn’t burning) or just get it over with lol.
Hah! If nothing else the book is hilarious, I’ve been LOLing A LOT reading it. (Do think Klune could have used a bit of an edit with it though).
Yeah, I know what you mean, I just read The Fever King last week. Maybe table it and hope the world stops burning sometime soon.
