“I murdered a man and made my husband leave the night before they crowned me.”
Born under the crumbling towers of Oren-yaro, Queen Talyien was the shining jewel and legacy of the bloody War of the Wolves that nearly tore her nation apart. Her upcoming marriage to the son of her father’s rival heralds peaceful days to come.
But his sudden departure before their reign begins fractures the kingdom beyond repair.
Years later, Talyien receives a message, urging her to attend a meeting across the sea. It’s meant to be an effort at reconciliation, but an assassination attempt leaves the queen stranded and desperate to survive in a dangerous land. With no idea who she can trust, she’s on her own as she struggles to fight her way home.
I’ve been looking forward to this one since forever it seems like, hard to believe the release date is just around the corner now! Already thinking of ways I can circumvent my book buying ban to get my hands on this. The Wolf of Oren-Yaro comes out February 18th, 2020 from Orbit.
I’m looking forward to this one too – you need a nice review copy – that way you haven’t bought it. I shouldn’t really be encouraging you though when you’re trying to be good,
Lynn 😀
Yeah, I could have easily gotten one too, I’m pre-approved for most Orbit titles now, but I am really trying to cut back on ARCs too, having to read on a schedule is stressful for me lol. 🙂
I’ll get one eventually though! And I’m happy to buy a copy because I’ve known Kay for years through reddit and I gotta support my peeps. 🙂
It’s on my list too, sounds like a thrillingly intense read. The cover -art looks really good too.
Yeah, I think it’s going to be a pretty engaging read. 🙂
I can’t wait to read this too, but wow the release date sure came fast! I have an ARC and wanted to read it early😬
Oooh, hope you enjoy! You’ll probably get to it long before I do. 🙂
The Wolf of Oren-Yaro was a good read – has me anxious to see how things develop in The Ikessar Falcon.
Did they announce when the sequel will be out already?
Sept 29th – but don’t read the blurb it has spoilers
Thanks and noted!
On my list… looks like something I’d enjoy:)
Can’t wait to see your thoughts on it!
I’m eagerly awaiting my review copy from Orbit, looking forward to reading next month!
Awesome, I hope you love it!
I read an ARC of this and thought it was so interesting! It really stood out from other fantasy, I hope you really enjoy it and manage to obtain a copy somehow! 🙂
Thanks! I think I *may* have a copy of the old self-published version on my kindle, but I really want to read the new version. I think it looks great and glad to hear you say it is. 🙂
Ooh, this sounds amazing!!
I’ve heard great things about it!
Ooh, this sounds so good??? I’m excited!
THIS LOOKS SO GOOD. I love an action-packed story with political elements to it. I think this book is definitely worth finding a loophole in your book buying ban…
Me too, political intrigue and stuff like that is my jam. Hah! I’ll probably figure out a way to add it to my TBR somehow. 🙂
I’m looking forward to this one too! I have some pretty high hopes – crossing my fingers we’ll both love it 🙂
I know a lot of people loved it when it was self published, I can only imagine the new version is even more awesome. Hoping we both agree!
This one caught my attention some time ago and I’m only waiting to “dispose” 😀 of some other titles I have lined up before allowing myself the luxury of requesting the ARC…
Hah, I know what you mean!
Me too!!! I am so so curious about this one!
It looks amazing. 😀
