As the renowned granddaughter of Isabella Camherst (Lady Trent, of the riveting and daring Draconic adventure memoirs) Audrey Camherst has always known she, too, would want to make her scholarly mark upon a chosen field of study.
When Lord Gleinheigh recruits Audrey to decipher a series of ancient tablets holding the secrets of the ancient Draconean civilization, she has no idea that her research will plunge her into an intricate conspiracy, one meant to incite rebellion and invoke war. Alongside dearest childhood friend and fellow archeologist Kudshayn, must find proof of the conspiracy before it’s too late.
TURNING DARKNESS INTO LIGHT is a delightful fantasy of manners, the heir to the award-winning Natural History of Dragons series, a perfect stepping stone into an alternate Victorian-esque fantasy landscape.
Aaaah, I’m so excited for this one! I absolutely LOVED the Lady Trent books and I can’t wait to be back in this world. Turning Darkness Into Light comes out August 20th, 2019 from Tor.
I am in love with that cover!
Me too! The Lady Trent books also have amazing covers (and they’re what drew me in to begin with!).
I haven’t read any (I admit, shame-faced).
They’re really fun, although admittedly I didn’t get along very well with the first book. But each one is better than the last.
What’s the name of the first one? I’ll add it to my ridiculously long tbr. 😂
A Natural History of Dragons. 🙂
I feel dumb: you mentioned the title in your post! Sorry. 😂
Haha, that’s okay, I didn’t remember that I had mentioned it either! 🤣
Ugh, I haven’t read the Lady Trent books yet! I’ve been meaning to, and now there’s another one!? This sounds really good😁
I marathon read most of the Lady Trent books in a week (books 2-5). They’re really addictive!
YAY MORE LADY TRENT BOOKS! Although, I guess we need something else to call this universe now that it’s not *just* about Lady Trent…
Hah, that’s a great point!
Heck yes! I’m sad we won’t be getting more books featuring Isabella as the main character, but this is the next best thing!
Yes, exactly! I can’t wait to see this new character though, I’m pretty curious.
I want.
That is all.
Lynn 😀
Me too!
This sounds really good!!
I have high hopes for it!
