Miss Elizabeth Knight received an unexpected legacy upon her uncle’s death: a collection of occult books. However, when one of the books begins talking to her, she discovers an entire world of female occultist history opened to her—a legacy the Royal Occult Society had purposely hidden from the world.
However, the magic allowing the book to speak to Miss Knight is fading and she must gather a group of female acquaintances of various talents. Together, they’ll need to work to overcome social pressures, ambitious men, and tyrannical parents, all to bring Mrs. Egerton, the book ghost, back.
I’m a huge fan of Krista’s books, I’ve reviewed several here already, and I’m especially looking forward to the start of her brand new series. This one is more of a fantasy of manners type. Magic and Regency, two of my favorite things combined! I subscribe to Krista’s Patreon account as well, and she’s been sending out little snippets of the book and so far I’m loving what I’m seeing. Can’t wait to dive into this one. A Magical Inheritance is set to come out June 7th, 2019.

Yes! I really liked that series overall. So far the tone of this one from the snippets I’ve read seems super fantasy of manners so I’m excited for it. Will hopefully have a review up before it comes out as I’ve been promised an early copy. 🙂
