Well, I did manage to get a few books read last week but only one of them was a planned book on my list, whoops! So, I finished up Changes by Jim Butcher (wow) and I read two romance novels. I also started a new audiobook. So this week’s going to be pretty similar to last week.
Besides reading itself, I’ve also started organizing some of my reading data. I’m still in the midst of drawing my series tracker bullet journal and I had to update my series tracker spreadsheet first so that I could figure out what all needed to go in the book. So I worked on both of those a little bit this past weekend. This has also kick started me into thinking about next year’s reading goals and what I want to make a priority.
I’m really looking forward to the upcoming weekend because I have a four-day weekend thanks to the holiday! And I only have plans on Thanksgiving to run out to dinner with my in-laws and other than that I have no other socializing planned! I think I’m going to spend part of the weekend reorganizing my library, cataloging some of my new books, and going through my comics. Also reading and writing. Woohoo! Just gotta get through this three-day work week first. π
So, this week looks a lot like last week. I’ve been making my way through the Jane Yolen book. So many interesting stories! I should finish this one and have a review up soon. Haven’t started Windcatcher yet, but hoping to get to it sometime this week. One new book on the list this week and that’s Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier. I started this in audio after finishing up Changes. I’m a little more than a third of the way through so far and really enjoying it. I think I’ll probably finish that up mid-way through the week, but not sure what my next audio will be. I may see if the next Dresden is available at the library or I may just pick something out of my audible library.
So, that’s my plans for the week, such as they are. What is everyone else reading this week? Leave me a note in the comments, I’d love to hear from you!
I’d be interested to hear what your thoughts on Windcatcher, I didn’t enjoy it too much myself and I can’t decide if the book is just not for me or if I missed something!
We’ll see how it goes. I don’t have any expectations going in so sometimes that helps, lol. I’ll definitely review it once I am done.
I just stared a fantasy called Breach and it’s very different but really good so far. I have the same schedule as you this week, I’m hoping these three work days go fastπ
Yes, please let these days fly by! Four day weekend, woot!
I also got some blog organizing done this weekend – started calendaring release dates for next year to stop them from sneaking up on me. π Currently reading FOUR DEAD QUEENS and then might bounce back into the adult section for my next read. I enjoy YA but I can only take so much of it in a row!
Ooh, looking forward to your review of that one! I actually want to revamp the look of my blog after the new year, total makeover, but I haven’t started planning that yet so I have lots to do still…. π
My plans have been all over the place unfortunately. I need to do a lot of blogging and reading and catch up. Look forward to your thoughts on the Marilier book – that’s one I have on kindle and need to find time to read but a positive review could likely bump it up the list.

I hear ya, my plans have been pretty scattered lately myself. I think it’s just that time of year for me. Good luck!
Will definitely write a review of the Marillier when I’m done. π
Sounds like you are going to put the long weekend to good use!! Only 1.5 more work days to go!! (depending on your time zone haha)
Yesssss! So excited for the upcoming days off. π
Hope you have a great holiday!
Thanks, it was mostly nice! π
Daughter of the Forest was one of my favourite books as a teen! I hope you liked it! I’m STILL reading Baru and also got started on Girls of Paper and Fire. π Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving!
I really enjoyed Daughter of the Forest! It’s long but totally worth it. I’m really curious about Girls of Paper and Fire, looking forward to your thoughts on it!
