I didn’t get as far as I would have liked with last week’s reading list because I got distracted by other books again. Hahaha, whoops. Also, I had the Baltimore Book Festival all this weekend so, ironically, no time to read. Trying to stick to this schedule but we’ll see what happens. ARC’s and review requests will remain a priority.
I just started Rabbit & Robot by Andrew Smith this weekend. I’m only a few pages in and so far this one is…interesting. The style of storytelling is intriguing. We’ll see how it goes. Thanks again to the folks at Simon and Schuster Books for Young Readers for sending this one my way.
It took me a lot longer to get through Neverwhere than I thought it would. Partly because I do a lot of my audiobook-ing while at work and work was crazy busy this week so there just wasn’t much time. So I didn’t start Small Favor by Jim Butcher until the very end of the week. I made it to book 10 of Dresden! Hoping I can totally catch up by the end of the year.
The next book I have up is a review request, The Exercise of Vital Powers by Ian Grigoire. I don’t know much about this book, but I’m looking forward to diving in. Some other’s have given it pretty high reviews so I’m hoping I’ll enjoy it. This is a little bit of a longer book, over 400 pages, so not sure I’ll finish by the end of the week but I’ll try.
I have a lot waiting in my audio queue, but I think I’m gonna go with The Testament of Loki by Joanne Harris next. I absolutely adored the first book and I can’t wait to spend more time with this character. It’s also a quick book so I should be able to get through it by the end of the week after finishing up the Dresden book. Bonus that it catches me up on that series, woot!
Well, those are my plans. Hopefully I won’t get distracted again but I can’t make any guarantees! What is everyone else reading this week? Leave a note in the comments, I’d love to hear from you. Happy reading!
Sounds like you have a full plate this week! I so want to start on my October list but I’m still catching up on September review books. I just started A Winter’s Promise and it’s good so farπ
Yeah, I’m still catching up too, definitely know how that is lol. Glad you’re enjoying A Winter’s Promise!
Sounds like a good week ahead this week. I’m not sure what I’m going to read, I’ve been sick the past few weeks and haven’t been able to read at all … will see if that gets better this week
Oh no, hope you’re feeling better soon!
Good luck with your reading plans.
Lynn π
Thanks!
Haha “….interesting” is what I would call most of Andrew Smith’s work. I’m reading through Many Lives of Stephen Leeds–really fun and interesting so far–and The Phoenix Empress right now, which is rather slow in comparison. Happy reading! π
It’s so weird! But sometimes I LOVE weird. I have to see how it pans out for me.
Hope you enjoy those!
