This Week in Reading: Weredeer Adventures, Post-Apocalyptic Urban Fantasy, LitRPG, and Austen-esque Fantasy

Last week I only managed to finish two books so the other two are back on my list to finish up this week. I have just a bit more free time this week so I’m hoping to get through, or at least get part way through, all four books on my list this week, but we’ll see. I really dislike being behind in my reading commitments.

First up, I Was a Teenage Weredeer by C. T. Phipps. Again, this one looks really fun and I’m looking forward to diving into it. I’m really hoping it’s as humorous as I anticipate.

On audio I’ll be listening to Forever Fantasy Online by Rachel Aaron and Travis Bach. I have high hopes for this one as well since I love Rachel Aaron’s Heartstrikers series so much.

Hopefully, I’ll be able to get through those two with no problems and move on two at least start two other books–I need my groove back!

Next up is Trail of Lightning by Rebecca Roanhorse. I’ve been looking forward to reading this one for months and now that it’s out I just had to bump it to the top of my TBR pile. I love a lot of urban fantasy and post apocalyptic stories so my expectations are high that I’ll love this book.

Next in audio I hope to start Valour and Vanity by Mary Robinette Kowal. I started her Glamourist Histories series a few years ago and never finished it for whatever reason. (Ok, well, I bounce around between too many series is probably the reason.) Anywho, I wasn’t a huge fan of the first book, but the second two were really good, so I’m looking forward to this one. I love Jane Austen so of course I want to love anything that has that Austen-esque feel to it. Hoping to finish up this series soon so I can check another one off my list, huzzah!

Another full week, hopefully I’ll do better than last week! What is everyone else reading this week? Leave a note in the comments, I’d love to hear from you. Happy reading!

I want to start Trail of Lightning this week as well! I’ve got way too many July review books but I also need to finish up some June ones😁

Omg, I love those Becky Chambers books! I listed to the first 2 on audio and was trying to figure out when the audio releases in the US but couldn’t see a date for it. So I may have to get a hard copy when it releases. I’m really looking forward to that one. 😍

Ack, I’m so far behind with everything – although, okay, I did catch up a little with my reviews. But. regardless of all of that – I want Trail of Lightning in my life. It’s receiving such positive reviews all over.
