This Week in Reading: Dragons Ahoy!

I did a great job finishing up my reading from last week and read a few non-fantasy books over the weekend so I’m not going into the week with much planned reading for once. I’m on vacation for most of the week (starting tomorrow) so not sure how much reading I’ll actually get into. We’ll see!

That being said, I enjoyed the second Lady Trent book by Marie Brennan so much that I decided to jump right into the third one, Voyage of the Basilisk, on audio. I’m sure with all of the projects I have planned this week I’ll have no problem finishing this one up and may even jump into the next one as my new audible credits should be here soon.

I also have a tentative plan to read Call of Fire by Beth Cato, the second book in her Blood of Earth series. I really loved the alternative history and steampunk elements of the first book. Plus there’s a smidge of romance which is a huge plus for me. The third book is supposed to be out later this year so I’d like to get caught up by then.

A light reading week for me! What is everyone else reading this week? Leave a message in the comments! Happy reading.

  1. I’ve been wanting to read the Lady Trent books for a while, but just never seem to get to them! I need to read them soon- maybe this summer.

    Happy reading!

    1. The first one was a bit rough for me but the rest were fun and I binged them all in about a week and a half. I listened to them on audio and was quite pleased with the narrator for them. Happy reading!
