They really did love the renos. But my dad kept going on about why we didn’t have them get rid of the one wall between the dining room and the kitchen and I was like ‘because I like having separate rooms?’. LOL It went well though. 🙂

Hallo, Hallo,…. Happy Christmas!
I had planned to cook & bake for Christmas dinner myself – however, our plans all were switched round last minute. Thankfully Doordash came through for me and as my microblogging on Twitter attests – despite the non-traditional ways in which food was enjoyed this Christmas Eve & Day, we still enjoyed the holiday as best we could. Tonight though – I’m sorting out what to do with the ham (lucky me, its already cooked!) and I’ll be making the green bean cassarole for the first time! I might even go all-in and try my hand at scalloped potatoes!! I know I want to dive into the new biscuit recipe I found — as I’m taking a liking to baking this year – especially scones and biscuits.

Food delivery is a good choice for this year. We just had a small dinner with my family and it went well. This year is odd so we’re all doing what we can to make it through–hopefully we’ll all be able to have normal holidays this time next year. Ohh, green bean casserole is one of my favorites, hope you enjoy that. 🙂 We’ve been using our oven quite a lot ever since we had our kitchen remodel–it’s so great to have a working oven again. We even made cookies a few times!
