It’s Saturday, Let’s Celebrate! What Are Your Weekend Plans?

Hello all!

I am perpetually behind in everything so I have a bit of an irregular post today. (What else is new? Hah)

I like making to-do lists so I’m going to talk a bit about my goals for this weekend, this first free weekend in over a month where I hope to get some stuff accomplished finally!

I’m writing this as my husband drives us up to PA from MD to my friend’s comic shop, listening to Dark Age by Pierce Brown on my headphones while he listens to It by Stephen King through the car speakers. Just to give an idea of how serious I am about multitasking to get things done–I have no time to waste this weekend!

  • I have a special post I’m working on tomorrow for The Hanged Man promo street team event with the help of other members of #TeamDeath.
  • I have other #TeamDeath things to catch up on. Look for some fun social posts coming over the next week!
  • I’m catching up on my reading for The Dragon’s of Autumn Twilight readalong hosted by Jason from Off The TBR
  • Hoping to get something like 2-4 reviews written
  • Need to preschedule some other posts and figure out what to do for the next few Friday posts
  • Work on reading Dark Age while getting some house projects done
  • Hopefully finish this novella I’m reading for r/fantasy book bingo
  • If I have time, work on my cataloging project
  • Speaking of house projects, I started this project of tearing up the grass from around our new AC unit and putting stones down (want to keep cut grass from entering the unit and clogging it up), so I’m hoping to finish that up this weekend. Just bought a new shovel and gloves so wish me luck!

So, those are my weekend plans, such as they are. What are your plans this weekend? Reading any good books? Catching up on blogging? Or is other life plans taking priority? Leave a note in the comments, I’d love to chat! Enjoy your weekend, everyone!

I love a “to-do” list! Also jealous of your weekend, it looks pretty good and full. My plans is writing and gardening some hot-yoga and catching up with a friend. What it the cataloguing project? Have you considered landscape fabric and gravel/stones around your AC unit? It will prevent any grass from coming back up. Once you remove grass it always has a tendency to come back up for the next few years. That’s my experience anyway, I don’t really know your issue, but maybe it will make it easier in the future.

I actually love really relaxed weekends but I am so behind on everything LOL.

The cataloging project is something I’m working on to get an accurate state of my physical and digital TBR pile which will play into my 2020 reading goals. So the plan is to get that all completed before the end of December but the sooner the better so I can start planning my reading for next year. 🙂

Yup, that is exactly what I’m doing around the AC unit. I have the black fabric to put down and the stones already. I had started it but then got a blister because I wasn’t wearing gloves and didn’t have the proper shovel so now that I have all that I’m ready to go again, will probably work on that tomorrow as it’s supposed to be a few degrees warmer. 🙂

Oh thats sounds cool. I love organising! is it a speadsheet? with colours and condtional formating? #nerd LOL

Nice! God luck and I hope you got some done over the weekend (im so slow to reply to comments these days, sorry). I bet it will look amazing when you finish 🙂

LOL. Right now I’m just using Libib which is a catalog site / app but I have plans to export it into excel once I get it all set up and tagged how I like.

Thanks! No worries, I feel like I am always behind on comments myself.

That sounds fun! I made a “books read” spread sheet in January, and I’m still going one it. Surpriced myself there. It will be super easy to get all my starts fro the year. Pivot tables with linked graphs. Im such a nerd. 😂

You can get all the stats in; page number, genre, gender of main characte, gender of authos, queer or not, what format of book you want to read/listen too, etc.again I’m such a nerd.

I am hoping to finish the last 247 pages of The Outsider by Stephen King tonight because the discussion on it is going to be tomorrow and I want be able to listen to it tomorrow because I will be babysitting 3 kids from the ages of 2 – 13 from 11am to 10pm I would like to try to squeeze in some reading tomorrow but I highly doubt that’s going to be possible. I also need to get tomorrow’s post ready because again I want have time to do it tomorrow.

My weekend plans apparently involved me being too busy to blog hop! It was my best friend’s birthday so I spent Saturday helping her set-up (and then be at) her party at our nearby park. Then Sunday was D&D day and ho boy our DM is the worst (and I mean the best). We’re caught between two factions in town and being blackmailed by both sides, and that’s just the main storyline.

That sounds like a full but fun weekend! I spent all weekend getting caught up on these things and I’m still a bit behind but not as much as before haha. I am catching up on blog hopping myself. 😉

Weekend, what weekend. I’m still trying to catch up – little by little though. I need to post a few reviews, the problem with catching up with reviews is that as quickly as I post them I read another book, one step forward… I might have to post a couple in a day here and there. You have lots of plans plus a list to keep you focused. Good look with all your projects.
    Lynn 😀

“as quickly as I post them I read another book, one step forward…” Yes that is the same problem I have! I was hoping to get several written this weekend but that just didn’t happen because other things took priority but I do have another ‘free’ weekend ahead of me so we’ll see. Thanks, Lynn!
