Happy Saturday everyone! Hope you all are geared up to enjoy your weekend in one way or another. I’m still really behind in reading and writing up reviews so I thought I’d do a bit of an update post today.
I’m feeling a lot better from last week, most of my anxiety is back to manageable levels again, yay! But then on Monday I had to take my car into the shop to get my starter looked at and that somehow turned into a four day ordeal where I really didn’t make much progress on anything reading and/or blogging related. I did manage to accomplish some other non-book related things though, so yay progress, I’ll take it.
This weekend I’m working on a big project of shifting a bunch of stuff around in my house, reorganizing, making room to put all these piles of books away. I’m also going through some things to put aside as donations because why not do that while I’m moving all this stuff anyway? Begone, non-sparkers of joy!
Here are some piles of books sitting around in the upstairs hallway and randomly on one of the bookcases in my library which need to be put away. Look at all of these piles, ugh! My house has started to look like a used book store. (I mean, I don’t mind so much but my husband is not happy with that look so… :D)
I’m moving the table top games out of our upstairs hall closet down to the basement to await new shelves. I’m moving comic books out of my library temporarily into the hall closet. I’m moving the book case full of table top games in the living room down to the basement as well, so that I can move everything in the upstairs hallway’s bookcase downstairs in the living room to the newly cleared off bookcase so that I can move all my anthologies and new Discworld books onto the newly cleared off bookcase in the hallway. Sounds like fun, right?
During my downtime I still hope to get some reading and reviewing in. The good news is that my boss is off work all of next week so if it’s slow I can maybe work on catching up on some blogging during work. 😀
I also have to get the house ready for company since next weekend is my book club meeting/tea party. And right now I have a ton of games sitting on my dining room table waiting to go down the basement and stuff in bags for donations all around it. Hahahahahaha. Wish me luck!

LOL…I could probably show you some pictures of my book piles/towers around my house that would make you feel better. My husband would probably complain, but he’s the one who’s been saying he’ll build me shelves for the past six years now and he still hasn’t even started, so he can’t say boo 😛
Hah! Well it was even worse cuz I had a bunch piled on the stairs too until my husband bought me that caddy for my TBR pile. And I also had a pile in the living room on top of my side table. I don’t actually mind the piles, I think they’re fun, but it is nice to have them all organized again finally, phew! 🙂

At some point soon we’re going to have to do a book sorting out/tidying up/buying a new bookcase because the books here are starting to get a bit wild as well.
It happens pretty fast! A few months and you keep getting books, reading books and needing to reshelve them, it all adds up. I was overdue lol.
Haha good luck with the books! That’s why I mostly read ebooks, I only have a small shelf and it’s overcrowded!

I mean, a used book store aesthetic is honestly the best aesthetic! My apartment right now is just a mix of books and art supplies scattered everywhere, it’s great. 😀
