I saw this tag posted by Lucinda over at Sunstar Books. This was made by Jemma over at What Reading Does.

What’s My Age Again? – blink 182
What age did you discover your love of reading?

Oh, I’ve always loved reading as long as I can remember. I think I was carrying books around with me by age 7. 🙂

All Star – Smash Mouth
What is your favourite genre?

Obviously, Fantasy–LOL! But I love all kinds of speculative fiction and I’m also a big Romance reader as well.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Deep Blue Something
What is your go to reading snack/drink (or just your favourite)

These days I’m drinking a lot of water because I’m trying to watch my weight again. I don’t know if there’s one thing I like snacking on while eating but it’s probably something terrible for me like chips and queso. (Oh, it’s been so long since I’ve had queso dip. Now I want queso dip. Sigh.)

Give It Away – Red Hot Chili Peppers
What book do you ALWAYS recommend to people

I feel like this is a trick question because I don’t think there’s any one book I throw at people all the time since reading tastes vary so much and I don’t want to recommend something that someone wouldn’t like. That being said, the one I recommend MOST is probably The Goblin King by Katherine Addison–love that book so much!

…Baby One More Time – Britney Spears
A book or series you have read more than once

See above, LOL. But also I’ve re-read Kushiel’s Dart by Jacqueline Carey so many times (probably 10-15 times?). Books that are my comfort reads I tend to re-read a lot (which means a lot of Romance–I think I’ve read Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston four times now…).

Tearin’ Up My Heart – N’Sync
A book that broke your heart to finish

Every once in a while when I’m reading a book I’ll get SUPER sad that it’s going to end because I just want to spend more time in that world with those characters. This happened to me with Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson as well as The Ghost Bride by Yangsze Choo. I remember having a huge book hangover from The Ghost Bride especially and being all dramatic about it over facebook at the time because I am a ridiculous person lol.

Crush – Jennifer Paige
Who was your first bookish crush

I don’t think I really get bookish crushes? Or maybe I do. Okay, I’ll admit that I have a thing for characters that are terrible little shits with secret soft underbellies who go through great character growth. Prince Aleksander from Carol Berg’s Rai Kirah trilogy, Laurent from C.S. Pacat’s Captive Prince trilogy, Prince Cardan from Holly Black’s The Folk of the Air trilogy. Wait. These are all coincidentally princes as well. Do I have a type????? Ahahahaha.

Smells Like Teen Spirit – Nirvana
A book that you read as a teen that you still love today

Oh, this is tough because my reading tastes have changed A LOT over the years. Probably the original Dragonlance trilogy by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman? It’s a fun series and I recently reread the first book and still loved it.

And that’s it for this tag! As usual not tagging anyone but if you to fill this one out, consider yourself tagged. 🙂

Kushiel’s Dart is so good!! I’m now at the point where Phedre, Joscelin, and Hyacinthe are about to travel together and I can’t wait to meet the Master of the Straits guy! I’m so glad I’m reading this book. Did you read all the books in the series?

Oooooooooh, things are about to get even more crazy. I can’t wait to see what you think.

I have! Well, the main trilogy. I didn’t read the 2nd trilogy, but I’ve read the 3rd one. The 3rd one is not as good and it’s kind of like Kushiel redux in some ways but you get to see a lot more of the world and also learn more about the gods than you do in the original trilogy. I keep meaning to go back and read that middle trilogy.
As for the originals, I also really liked book 2, book 3 I liked but not as much as the first 2 and I haven’t read that one in forever.
