Hello all! This past week I four books – one romance, one military sci-fi, one paranormal cozy mystery, and one YA fantasy. At least I had a bit of variety LOL. So, overall, a really great and productive week in reading.
Still working on planning out my October and November (almost all is planned, just have to do a bit more reading for reviews) so that I can, potentially, join in NaNoWriMo in November. (It also depends if I’m in the creative mood or not but that’s a whole other issue hahaha.) Either way, my plans are coming right along and I’m fairly ahead on blogging and that feels fantastic. This is what happens when I channel my anxiety, apparently.
In audio this week I’m reading Redshirts by John Scalzi. This is one of my picks for 2020 r/fantasy bingo and I also think it will be a good one to read now so I can have more reviews for Sci-Fi month in November. 😉 But! I’m also excited to read more Scalzi because I’ve only read his two Lock In books so far.
In print I’m working on Dracula’s Child by J. S. Barnes. I have an eARC of this one and I’m looking forward to it because I love Dracula and all things vampire. It’s also prep for spooky month coming up soon! Also, isn’t the cover for this fabulous? If I like this one I might have to get a copy for my shelves…
Not sure if I’ll get to any other books this week. Dracula’s Child is a bit of a tome and even though Redshirts is short it’s been slow going with audio books lately. We’ll see what happens though–sometimes I surprise myself! What are you reading this week? Leave a note in the comments, I’d love to chat!
